    A113's Jedi Mind-bending Trip Report 7/23-7/25

I'm back with another of my special reports, and this time with my new Camera (Canon Powershot SX20 IS)! I was back in the resort this weekend, and it was quite interesting. There were some gains, and some loses, but I'll just quit spoiling and continue with the report.

    Shall we begin?

    Day 1

We were going to the land of a Walt, but not this Walt.

Hooray we're almost there! I can't wait to see the Disneyland Doctor! (Yeah, lame joke, so sue me).

At the Toy Story parking lot, we were ready to board the shuttle bus, Art.

    Fascinating, and noted.

They had these up at the security checks. I don't recall seeing these up a month ago to see World of Color.

    Or these.

Bleh, Miley Cyrus. Wait a minute, it's coming out when on DVD? August 17 is my birthday..

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWaLxFIVX1s"]No![/ame]

Soon to be dismantled.. such a shame..

..that they decided to build it.

Glowfest. Going to check it out again later.

I got me a Churro. Wait a minute, why is it out of focus? It's supposed to be the center of attention!

    More to come!

    Day 1 (con't)

This is an attempt of an artsy shot with my new camera. It's still out of focus

A Wookie Cookie (to be explained in the 3rd Day/part of the report) to whoever can tell me where this is!

    These guys got wet. ha

I was sweating from the heat when I took this picture.

    Hooray, Blue Section once again!

Dad was starving so we had an early lunch at the Taste Pilot's Grill after GRR.

I can taste the irony.. GET IT? Taste? Because we're at a restaurant? ..I'll just move on now..

Taste Pilot's Grill was actually more busy than it is when we usually eat there

I can't wait to check out California Construction Sites when it opens to California Adventure.

This thing-a-ma-bob was being lowered by the crane. Who knows, it may be really important for Carsland.

I'd break my arm doing this. I bet they all would too.

The operating mechanics for the Red Car. Looks pretty cool.

A-ha! A California Screamin' blueprint. This will help me. It really will. For what though? It's still a secret.

The Flour Machine is broken.. AGAIN?

This does not please A113, but

More to come for the first Day, pictures are still uploading.

    Day 1 (con't)

I now present you with an assortment of California Screamin' nerd mechanical/electrical shots. If you do not care/not interested, you may now skip the next couple hundred pictures... now.

Awe look at the happy faces.. the train isn't even moving.

No grain in the picture, just the watersprayers.

    I miss the Mickey...

Check out that hydraulics electrical ya-hoos

    More hydraulics electrical ya-hoos

Not even a million churros would make me climb this.

    Mmmm.

    Yeah...

Sneaky shot of what's going on in the construction site for the Red Car outside ToT

    More to come folks

    Cooler than pedobear.

They had this thing. I guess it was a Meet and Greet, I didn't go closer to check.

    Time to ride Screamin'... yeah!

It's the checkered flag in spirit for Cars Land.. sorta.

They were running this train empty the whole day. It was re-manufactured and they were testing it, according to the ride op.

Come inside kids! *Old man giggles* Come inside!

I wanted one last ride on the Maliboomer before it goes down...

    ...for the better.

I didn't feel like riding, so I took some pictures of Muholland Madness and the area while my brother and Dad rode.

    It's a plant.

And once again, more to come tomorrow! And thanks Annie

Great trip report and pictures! Pretty funny too. I like how you added the Darth Vader "Nooo!"

    Re: A113's Jedi Mind-bending Trip Report 7/23-7/25

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments.

    Day 1 (con't)

I believe this is a newer trash can.. I may be wrong.. probably am.

    I'VE GONE DORY.

We started heading out of the park toward Disneyland to kill time before WOC. I got a couple cool shots on the way, I think.

Soon to be the Elias & Co. Department Store.. yay

Thanks to this picture I remember what time I took it.

Gotta love this sign.. I'd be down to buy a replica for my house

    The Opera House.. Lincoln.. eh.

Something interesting.. they didn't have Mickey Cartoons playing, but they had shots from the Opening Day for the 55th anniversary. It was really cool, we stayed there for a bit.

    I'd stay here.

Another Wookie Cookie for whoever can tell me what this is

Ah good to see the Castle again.. its been a while

Noooes... BLAB was closed. But luckily they said it would open the next day, which we did do!

I wanted to ride Star Tours.. this is its last operating weekend after all.

My brother and Dad dragged me to change the world yet again..

This picture would have been cooler with 4 birds..

Funny.. they still didn't change the exit signs from HISTA.

Either this picture is trippy.. or I moved the camera.

They had this simulator in the Starcade.. I was going to ride 2 of these 4 rides this month

    Looks like a new band..

    Ew.. this.

Drool.. even though I'd go Dory again trying to use this.

This is what all the lights look like when they're off.

They reopened the Tomorrowland Terrace. It looks like a new Menu.. I believe the Mahi Mahi is new.

My dad always loves seeing the Tomorrowland Terrace performances.. reliving his high school glory days and such.. embarassing us by dancing and singing blah, blah, blah.. for the first time he doesn't like the band; it was jazz/rock, 30's/40's swing music I'd assume. I thought it was pretty cool.

These guys were moving, you can't tell by the picture.

We then headed over to Space Mountain.. the line was long.

Kids were playing here while the line was slowly moving. If you didn't notice I took this picture from the fastpass line, so I didn't have to wait in that.. hehehe

After Space we headed back to DCA for Glowfest.

This guy thinks he's so cool DJing the party.. the turntables and the mixer aren't even hooked up..

I mean the real downside to Glowfest is that nobody knows how to dance to the music. I swear.. it's so annoying.

But then we saw the real action..teen ravers.

Yeah these girls knew how to dance.. it's hard to see but it was pretty fun to watch.

She used the light up color changing Mickey Mouse spinning thingy.. it was still pretty cool.

Yep all of us are just clapping and watching and cheering her on.

Very sick.. props to whoever danced.

    Next was ToT.. fun

I always thought this looks like a face.

    Ahahaha. Silly puns..

We quickly went to California Screamin' to get a ride before the first World of Color show and before it closed.. and I must say.. I probably had my best front row ride ever.. and why is that? It's not safe so I will not say how lol.

The World is a Carousel of Color.. oh wait we're not doing that yet.

    I like this picture....mmm... Screamin'

OMG NO WAI IT'S A TORNADO

Yeah.. it was moving fast.. it was a fun ride.

I wanted to take a picture onboard while the ride was moving... this is how it came out.

    Yep.. it's unexplainable.

We then saw World of Color in the Wet Zone.. I got a little wet, no big, it's still enjoyable to watch.

That's it for the first day guys, I'll have the 2nd Day up later!
