My Mom just gave me some old photos of the America on Parade, JC and some other random pictures of DL in 1977.

Definitely not the one they have right now, what a joke, it's embarrassing for anyone visiting.

I've always been partial to the 1984 Donald's Birthday Parade. Classic! LOTS of Characters and HUNDREDS of dancers! Good music too, they use parts of it now in the Happiest Birthdays on earth.

I like the holiday parades, as A Christmas Fantasy, and also Lion King, because of the big puppets. Electrical Parade all time fav though after Fantasmic, which is a parade/show.

Yep - first parade that I saw in DL aside from Lion King - was in 1995 if I remember right. We have the parade on video funnily enough and my dad can often be found absent mindedly humming the theme tune. 'Cruising the kingdom, you and me are cruising the kingdom...'

PS. I swear deja-vu from my post two weeks ago

Our favorite hands down is the Mulan Parade...so much entertainment, great music and color.

    2nd is Party Gras.

But Mulan I watched every chance I got...all the other parades I use the time to hit the rides.

I would have to say that the Main Street Electrical Parade! Too bad they don't have it anymore, I mean I know that they have it as Disney's Electrical Parade in California Adventure, but it doesn't have the same effect that it had when it went down Main Street.

I was there on the day they were supposed to get rid of the parade in October 1996. It was the most crowded day in Disneyland's History. It turned out in the end that they extended the parade and it did not stop operating untill November 1996.

Main Street Electric Parade, no question, the DCA version just isn't the same, the real Main Street parade was the best.
