Weird. Is it just me, or does it seem like they either want you to come for only a few days, or else be a Premium AP?

Absolutely! I am a premium annual pass holder, and I live close. I also have the payment option in place, so I don't really 'see' what I'm paying. It makes it completely justifiable, for lack of a better word, to hit Disneyland every month, spend money on merchandise, nice lunches and nice dinners. I normally drop $150 to $200 on extras every time I go. That's normally something I would not do if I was forking out $100 bucks alone for admission every time I went. The AP is sort of out of sight, out mind!

Not to bad I was afread it be like a $40. more for a PREMIUM. Well all I need now is $109 dollars more and then I can renew my AP in Nov.

Re: It'$ That Time of Year(Merged-Price Increases)

I'm glad the price hasn't gone up that much. I've just recently moved here from Phoenix and could finally justify the Premium price, so I picked one up about a month ago when I moved here. Before that, I could never rationalize paying for anything but the Deluxe to cover my 4 to 15 days per year at the park.

Personally, it always seemed smart to me to milk APers for all we're worth, because we're an easy target, and a lot of APers have seem to have a huge expendable income (not me, though). But a lot of people have disagreed with me over the years, thinking that a tourist surely spends more. I think it varies wildly depending on the family.

Not to mention, besides the 55th Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney stuff (and some t-shirts at World of Disney), I haven't been able to find anything cute to buy in almost a year. I don't know who's picking out the merchandise recently, but I don't like their taste. If they'd put some cute stuff back in the parks, I might actually spend money again.

Hey Jupitertronic, have you tried the Disney Vault store at DTD? That's normally where I spend most. They have really nice things!

I most definitely agree with your take on APer's and tourists, although I really don't have much to back up that opinion except for what I and my best friends spend annually going!

It would seem to me that if someone is taking a vacation to WDW then this would be the way to go... since they could still enjoy their "ticket" for the rest of the year when they come home.

Quick question so does this also mean blockout passes will be increased? My friend and I were thinking going Saturday but now may just have to convince her to wait a few more weeks! lol
