re: Disneyland - Old Photos and Ephemera Thread

1950's guests on a guided tour of Main Street

Actually 1963 or later...as the diamond shaped plastic nametags weren't in use before then.

Pirates entrance at ground level, likely 1970's, before the restructuring and bridge building project at the entrance of New Orleans Square.

Someplace between June 1975 and September 1976, to be exact, as they are wearing the America On Parade nametag...

Though I love the way the Jungle Cruise looks today, I wish I could have ridden it when it looked like this.

It always amazes me to look at old vs new photos of the park, and to see how much the trees and various foliage has grown up/in.

Anything involving ATIS and especially the Peoplemover is an especially "nice look". Tomorrowland used to be so great.

Of all the rides I've never seen, Mine Train is probably at the top of my list of those I'd like to see.

A simple image this time, but very interesting: a "coming attractions" display in front of the Mark Twain loading area from the look of it. River Town never appeared that I know of...

It seems to me that Fowler's Harbor (where the Columbia is docked) looks quite a bit like at least a small piece of River Town. Yet another fascinating opiece of Disneyland archaeology! Thanks yet again Regions...

I can honestly say I've never seen that artwork. Must date from around 1956 or so?
