Arrow Your "One Most Important Thing"

Through the years on MiceChat I have seen people discuss their "wants" and their "needs" for The Disneyland Resort. Some of these discussions have involved wanting better food choices, original attractions (no movie tie-ins), more "land-based" merchandise, etc.

The purpose of this thread for us all to discuss what our "one most important thing" is that we'd like to see change at The Disneyland Resort. What is the one element of the parks (this includes Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney also) that you would like to see change.

    Discuss...

(Working on a poll...it will be up shortly.)

Re: Your "One Most Important Thing"

For me personally...the most important factor (aside from safety, cleanliness, etc.) in my enjoyment is attractions that genuinely take me to another world. Someplace unique, someplace I can't otherwise visit, be it from a movie or something wholly original. And it makes the experience fun by fully engaging the senses, with or without the presence of thrills. It can be funny, scary, beautiful, creepy, nostalgic, mysterious, bittersweet, or just downright weird, but the point is that it forces emotions into my brain that I want to experience again and again, even if I have to pay through the nose to get 'em. I leave the ride wondering if I really just had this experience - it almost seems unreal. But the fact that I've exited into a place that is also clearly different from the real world reminds me that anything is possible at Disneyland.

EDIT: Of course, all the things listed in the poll would be nice. I'm going to vote for "Other", though, since I'd rather have a deeply immersive attraction based on a film than a not-very-immersive original attraction.

Frankly, I'd like to se less merchandise. They are selling everywhere. It's the same old stuff, whever I look.

    I miss the Pendleton shop

I miss the western shop (now the pin shop)

The only place that has anything unique is in New Orleans Square. Which happens to be my favorite area.

I would love to see more rides with AA like HM and POTC. Splash too! These rides are so unique and it brings a sense of comfort when your aboard them. I know that sounds strange but just thinking about relaxing on a boat in POTC or a DoomBuggie on HM and allowing your imagination to go crazy is awesome!

I don't need thrill rides; I'll take eye candy over those coasters any day.

I think that if Disneyland had better food/dining options it would do wonders for the park. That's one of the few things I've heard people I know complain about.

I voted "other", because all of those are important.

Well, to be honest I don't find the sightlines all that offensive, but I know that many people do.

I agree. This is really a great list of everything that the DLR needs to do to become a world class destination again. I voted to fix TL and FL, but all these areas could use improvement. TDA needs to use this as a list of what the fans want.

All of the above, but I love immersive attractions. Like another person said, eye-candy over coasters, in my opinion.

I agree. Its like saying I can order a cheese burger but I can only choose 1 part of it. They are all important (the bun, burger, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, condiments, plate/wrapper etc).

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.
