The gumbo place by Pirates of the Caribbean

    Re: Disneyland questions!

    1) How many times a year/have you been to Disneyland Resort?
    Way too often....

    2) What's your favorite Hotel to stay at on resort property?
The Grand Californian... it's so cozy and wood-ish..

    3) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses ;D
Hmmm.... I like DL 'cause it's the original, but I like DCA because (after spending every waking moment in DL) it's something nice that I haven't really had the chance to spend too much time in.

    4) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
White Water Snacks. It's just a nice, cozy, wooden restaurant, where you can sit outside and watch the guests.

    5) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
....Did you even really need to ask this?! haha

    6) What ride is your favorite and why?
Indy... it has fantastic theming, a great story, and enough movement that I still get disoriented. It really does feel like you're going a lot faster than 10 miles per hour.

    7) Do you like the character meals?
    Meh...

    8) Do you spend multiple days at the park, or just one?
Multiple (about five days each week, although six if Scheduling decides that it owns my soul).

    9) What is one thing you've never gotten to do?
I've never eaten at the Blue Bayou. Too expensive and too much of a hassle for a restaurant that doesn't have a lot of vegetarian options.

    10) Tell your best kept secret about the resort!!
Wellllll I have a lot actually (though I'd get in trouble if I talked about them)... Hmmm....
I guess one secret is that there's a large utility tunnel running in between DL and DCA that transports Cast Members and other things in between the parks. I've yet to utilize it (no need yet to go to DCA) but I wouldn't mind sometime.

    Re: Disneyland questions!

    1) How many times a year/have you been to Disneyland Resort?
Once a year for the past 6 years.

    2) What's your favorite Hotel to stay at on resort property?
Have only stayed at the GCH

    3) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses ;D
Disneyland. More ride options. Favorite ride is there as well.

    4) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
    Rancho del Zocalo.

    5) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
    Disneyland

    6) What ride is your favorite and why?
Thunder Mountain. It was my first Disney coaster and it's only 2 weeks older than I am. We're like "this" man! I also think it's the perfect Disney ride. Fast, but not too fast. Wild, but not too bumpy. Long, but not too long. Super well themed. A loose story, not a plot. Lots of details to build your own story out of. Looks beautiful day or night.

    7) Do you like the character meals?
Yeah. We try to do one a trip.

    8) Do you spend multiple days at the park, or just one?
    3 or 4 days.

    9) What is one thing you've never gotten to do?
    Gadget's Go-Coaster, Bugs Land.

    10) Tell your best kept secret about the resort!!
Getting nearly front row for the fireworks and Fantasmic! with only 30 minute waits consistently.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

    Re: Disneyland questions!

    1) How many times a year/have you been to Disneyland Resort?
Oh my gosh. Lol, wayyy too much!! My friends and I literally go ALL the time.

    2) What's your favorite Hotel to stay at on resort property?
    The Grand Californian.

    3) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses ;D
    Disneyland, hands down!

    4) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
La Brea Bakery! It's legitimately delicious.

    5) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
    LOL- Hmm, let me think...

    6) What ride is your favorite and why?
I think Tea Cups is my favorite. I think it really breathes the spirit of Disneyland as a whole, and all the fantasy associated with it.

    7) Do you like the character meals?
LOL, I LOVE THEM! Almost 17 and still going :P

    8) Do you spend multiple days at the park, or just one?
On a very rare occasion, my friends and I will sleepover and go maybe twice in a row. In the Summer, we might go two days in a row (without sleeping over). But overall, usually just one day

    9) What is one thing you've never gotten to do?
Hmm. I've never been to Club 33, I've never actually ridden the Sailing Ship Colombia, have never met Woody or Buzz, annnd have never eaten at the Hungry Bear! :P

    10) Tell your best kept secret about the resort!!
It's not really a secret at all, but I always like walking around Disneyland long after the fireworks are over. Most people go home, so the park is virtually empty, and it's soo magical to walk around Snow White's Grotto and Pixie Hollow and the little magical areas of Fantasyland that are lit up and empty at night. There's also usually swing dancing by the castle, and Main St. looks gorgeous! It's more of a 'thing most people haven't tried' rather than a secret, though, for sure :P
All it takes is a dream and a wish!

    Thumbs up Re: Disneyland questions!

    1) How many times a year/have you been to Disneyland Resort?
Twice so far. Once in 2008 and once in 2010. Planning on 2011 for our next visit.

    2) What's your favorite Hotel to stay at on resort property?
Well we've only stayed at the Disneyland Hotel so I can't say we ave a favorite but as we are new Disney Vacation Club members and will be staying in a Grand Villa at the Grand Californian Hotel (first time) next year I suspect we will be able to call that our favorite going forward.

    3) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses ;D
Disneyland (so far) but to be far to California Adventure we've never had enough time to give it a fair look when we've been there. I've already told the family that our first full day at the resort next year will be spent in California Adventure though so as too rectify this problem.

    4) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
Taste Pilot's I think it's called in California Adventure. If Downtown Disney counts than I would have to say The Rainforest Cafe. (Our absolute resort area favorite though is the Cheesecake Factory at the Gardenwalk.

    5) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
Sleeping Beauty's Castle without a doubt.

    6) What ride is your favorite and why?
Haunted Mansion. Simply put for a ride as old as it is I am still amazed at how well it was done and holds up.

    7) Do you like the character meals?
Yep. Not so much for myself but to see the reaction on my son's face when Goofy or Cinderella pay attention to him. (He experienced that at 6 months old this past February and our daughter who will be born in mid-October will get to at about 7 months next May.)

    8) Do you spend multiple days at the park, or just one?
Multiple. Can't experience the whole resort in one day. (We've spent three days each of the two time we went and even that wasn't enough.))

    9) What is one thing you've never gotten to do?
See 75% of California Adventure beyond the main entrance and Condor Flats area (I think that is what it is called.)

    10) Tell your best kept secret about the resort!!
    I'm addicted I think.

1.) How many times a year/ have you been to the parks?
Once too many times in the past 6 years as an Aper

2.) What's your favorite hotel to stay at on property?
GCH. They have a nice atmosphere to it and its really well done

3.) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses?
DL. Its the original, and I spend a lot more time over there than I do at DCA

4.) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
White Water, dude! Those nachos are addicting.

5.) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
Personally, I think Grizzly Peak has the better icon. You can view it anywhere and its really crafted and iconic.

6.) What is your favorite ride and why?
Autopia, because its one of the first rides I actually remember. I rode it with my father and I remember taking a photo in the display car that was outside the entrance.

7.) Do you like character meals?
Being someone with a history of character photos, it was fun while it lasted. But I'm not going to do those anymore.

8.) Do you spend a couple days at the park, or one?
Just a day. I have an AP so I can come whenever I want. Lately though I haven't been going.

9.) What is the one thing you've never done at the parks?
Maliboomer. And I never will now that it is closing.

10.) Tell your best kept Disney secret!

    Re: Disneyland questions!

    1) How many times a year/have you been to Disneyland Resort?
    - I only go once a year, twice if I've just won the lottery.

    2) What's your favorite Hotel to stay at on resort property?
    - I've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in the past as well as Paradise Pier. I don't have a preference considering I don't remember either of them particularly well.

    3) Disneyland or California Adventure? Remove the nostalgia glasses ;D
    - Disneyland of course!

    4) Where is your favorite place to eat at the parks?
    - My favorites off the top of my head are probably the French Market, Blue Bayou, and Celebration Roundup & BBQ.

    5) What park has the better icon, Sleeping Beauty Castle or Grizzly Peak?
    - Sleeping Beauty Castle. It's such a classic and because it was designed and dreamed up by Walt himself, it holds a lot of value and magic.

    6) What ride is your favorite and why?
    - I'd have to say Indy because I love high adventure rides that are rough and exciting and throw you everywhere.

    7) Do you like the character meals?
    - I haven't been to too many and the ones I have been were quite some time ago, so... yes?

    8) Do you spend multiple days at the park, or just one?
    - I live 6 and a half hours away and I only go to the parks once a year if I'm lucky. I'd be insane if I only went for one day. My usual length of stay is 3-5 days.

    9) What is one thing you've never gotten to do?
    - I've never ridden in the Lilly Belle which would be exiting.

    10) Tell your best kept secret about the resort!!
    - It's not my secret but it's one that I love. I really love that the Morse code at the New Orleans Square RR station is actually Walt's speech on opening day. I love small little things like that. It's always so exciting when I learn something new about the park.
