i will be going to disneyland on the 20th (next sunday) and i was wondering if it will be busy or not
we're planning on getting there shortly after it opens and then we have reservations for the fantasmic desert thing so we won't be leaving until after it closes.

I hope it won't be too busy, because I'll be there too! I'm guessing it'll be about normal for a Sunday, probably less busy than this coming Sunday since it's not a 3-day weekend.
I am fantasizing that it will be significantly less crowded than a typical Sunday because everyone coming to see the Christmas decorations will be staying home until Thanksgiving or after. But I think that's just a dream.

The park reached capacity and was closed on a friday in november and I'm not even sure that happened during the summer months when it would be expected. Glancing at the convention calendar I don't show anything major coming up, but like I said the crowds have been off the chart this year. What you are asking is really impossible to say. Will it be capacity crowds, probably not. Will it be busy, probably. Next weekened is the the weekend leading up to Thanksgiving. My guess is that crowds will start to increase day by day until they peak Thanksgiving Weekend.
I know if we could go, we would be there starting next Sunday and leaving on Thursday, Thanksgiving.

Just think of it. You'll be sitting up there on your perch munching away at all of the goodies while the peons below will be working on their third hour of sittin on the concrete having their hands stepped on by rude folks who won't even say sorry.

Remember, get there about 45 minutes early, so you can get a good seat up on that balcony. At least last year when we did it (and the year before), that was the way that it worked. First come-first seated. Maybe it's changed???

From the looks of your countdown it looks like you will be going for your 19th Birthday. Have a Happy Birthday at the park.
It seems however that this year people have been coming to the park in droves and doesn't show any signs of letting up for the holiday season.
same as always (but more so due to the continuing 50th and now holiday activities) all weekends will be busy throughout the rest of the year, and once schools let out, weekdays too.
Oh and have a spectacular birthday!

BTW, the calendar lists the hours for DL at 8 AM - 12 AM on Sunday (versus 9 AM - 11 PM on the 13th). So despite my predictions (and hopes), they expect the park to be busier 11/20 than 11/13.
