Is Sleeping Beauty Castle too pink?

I myself cannot stand how pink the castle has become, If I remember right the castle used to be a more subtle pink, and before that, white.

Does anyone else feel the castle was more appealing this color?

It is really pink, but it is also a princess castle, so I give it a pass. Plus, I can't really imagine DL without the bright pink castle at the epicentre.

It is indeed pinker than it used to be... but I think it works for it. As others have said, the older paint scheme always felt faded... like it wasn't being kept up.

The current color scheme is much warmer than the previous one which is also more inviting and welcoming than the colder harsher blues and whites.

Now it is pink and the roof is brighter. During the 50th anniversary, Disney improve the structure and painted the castle new.

The castle in the older days had faded pink and white colors.

So, it now looks warm and welcoming as Walt said or it always had been that way since 1955. The old Sleeping Beauty Castle was more white than pink.

It has been this pink for at least five years, hasn't it?

On opening day, the castle was black and white and shades in-between. According to archival footage.
so was Walt, and Art Linkletter.
