well at least we know that it really is a serious problem, otherwise it wouldn't take 4-6 months to fix
Eagerly awaiting DCA to finish the revamp!

There's a Murphy / Union / Hijab joke in here somewhere....
Growing older is manditory
Growing up is however, optional
Screws fall out all the time, it's an imperfect world.
Was present for the collapse show, I didn't take a video unfortanitly, but, have some early morning photos.

Looking back, I wonder about other signs of trouble along the river earlier in the day. A few times duriing the afternoon, all river traffic had been halted as a couple of suited management looking types along with a maintenance CM cruised the river aboard one of the rafts spraying an unidentified liquid on the water's surface. The Mark Twain was even docked early in the Columbia slip at Fowler's Harbor, leaving only the Columbia to cruise a few times before it too was docked for the day well before 5 PM.

Pitching money to a precise location is a better idea than mere throwing.
Also, it would help to have that money. Needs to come from someplace and the current admission revenues are far lower than they should be. (Not the PRICE as solicited -- that's too high. No, I'm referring to ADMISSION REVENUE. Some of you know about what I'm talking.)

Why do they not have spare parts ready just in case? And 4-6 months to repair?!?!? They could build a whole new one in that amount of time!
Ok wait... so if it was a problem with the lift, (Which it looked like, but what do i know,) Why did they remove the head and hands? Storage? Just wondering...
Dude..
If it was the lift, and considering that in those photos Murphy is sitting in show position, I'm feeling pretty confidant that it was the lift, then this is exactly correct. They'll want to get as much weight off the lift as possible. The fact that Murphy is able to be put into fully upright position and locked there is a good sign that the AA itself isn't damaged (or at least very badly), especially as it was tipping pretty far forward in the images from the other night. More and more this points the lift being the problem.
Now, depending on what exactly is happening down there with the lift it could be something that takes a week or two, or something that really does take a couple months.
Regardless of how long the repairs take, I'm wondering how long they will take to retest everything before allowing Murphy back into the show.
