    Vintage Disneyland Commercials

    YouTube has a surprising amount of good old ones, here are some highlights:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chvu_L8_RpM]YouTube - 1980s Splash Mountain Commercial[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlpHejdnjnI]YouTube - Disneyland Commercial 1979-BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RR[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ospz2-YzBik]YouTube - Space Mountain Original 1977 Commercial[/ame]

    In the "What the hell?" category:
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drFBwFTzLJE]YouTube - 1959 Disneyland Commercial - 2[/ame]

    And this is a more recent one, but one of my favorites for obvious reasons:

    Indeed, the editing on that one is pretty hilarious...man that drop takes a long time

    Ah I love old commercials like these, I hadn't seen the 1959 one before!
    All this has happened before, and it will all happen again. But this time it happened in London. It happened on a quiet street in Bloomsbury. That corner house over there is the home of the Darling family. And Peter Pan chose this particular house because there were people here who believed in him.

    the Space MT one is so cheesy. It's great!

    And whats with the polyester? LOL. I had no idea it was so "lively".

    Cool to see those commercials again. I was 12 when the Space commercial came out and I remember being stoked about it finally getting to Disneyland.

    As for the polyester...no kidding.

    As a CM, the polyester didn't make for the most flattering costume to wear either. Was glad when they went to the white and blue costumes. They were more comfortable too.

    Re: Vintage Disneyland Commercials

    I knew that summer time at Disneyland was close when I saw the first commercial announcing the exciting summertime entertainment line up. I really didn't care if it was basically the same from last summer. All I was excited about was that our annual trip was getting closer.

    I still love the 2-Fer Commercial with the Jungle Cruise animals this year. I need to watch some of the ones listed above....

    Hidden Mickey - Historical fiction about Walt that mixes action and mystery with time travel and fantasy! Tweens to adults will enjoy these novels. And now, three gamebooks to play in Disneyland, DCA and WDW Magic Kingdom!

    Check out my six action/adventure novels about Walt's lost diary and his epic quest. Visit my blog page!
