Anyone know of a restaurant named 'Tommys' near Disneyland?

Ms. Oogie and I are supposed to be meeting some of her old classmates at a restaurant named 'Tommys' , which is near Disneyland, but I've never heard of a 'Tommy's' near the park. Has anyone here ever heard of this place?

I'm thinking they meant Tony Romas.

Not sure where it is, but Tommys' is a great chili burger place. If I can find it, I will let you know.

It's 16 miles to Disneyland, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit It.

I love Tommy's burgers, but there really isn't one near Disneyland.

There is a Tony Roma's across the street, so chances are, that's what they meant.

There's a coffee shop called Tiff's at the SW corner of the resort, so that's a possibility too.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

    Both wrong.

Read about it in my new memoir (now 88% true!): "Sediment, A Survivor's Story."

No Tommy's in the anaheim area, hopefully they did mean Tony Roma's, or better yet relocate the party to Roy's Hawaiian Fusion at GardenWalk

The closest Tommy's to Disneyland is 7 miles away.

Disneyland, Anaheim, CA to Original Tommy's Hamburgers - Google Maps

There are actually a few 'fake' Tommy Burger's which is actually called "The Original Tommy Burgers." One semi-popular chain spells theirs Tomy Burgers. Note only one letter 'M.' There is a Tomy burgers fairly close to the park at 9692 Chapman Ave in Garden Grove.

It might not be the same place, but Oogie and company should go there regardless. You haven't lived until you make the drive to downtown LA, Rampart St off of the 101 on the corner of Rampart and Beverly and indulge in that amazing mess of a chili burger. We used to drive 80 miles or so round trip during college while working up near Big Bear just for a Tommy's run.

As for how your gut feels after you finish...I won't go there....but MAN! It's worth it!

    I love Tommy's so much.

Mega Combo, you can never go wrong - double chili burger, chili fries and a bucket of soda.

    Ah.

But there are none that close to the Resort. I only know of Norwalk, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Hollywood, and at the City Walk.

The original on Rampart. Ahhh yes. They way they wrap the burgers right in front of you at about mach one speed, you grab your soda out of an old cooler then you stand in the parking lot with about 500 other people 24 hours a day and eat on a little shelf. Those were the days....
