With a nod to Blink 182, I call it Disney Whatsmythemeagain Park.

That's about the time the fans walked away from me
Nobody likes you when you're ugly
And we arent amused by rides that are just TV shows

Re: The Pros and Cons of Disney California Adventure

    Pros -

    * New WoC show (Still have yet to see, though the reviews I hear are stellar)
    * Future L.M. attraction .. a sure "D Ticket" hit to look forward to
    * Maliboomer biting the dust
    * Transformation of Paradise Pier with better touches at Theming
    * Screamin' .. One of my favorite coasters
    * Monsters Inc. dark ride - I love dark rides
    * Midway Mania - Even though the Toy Story franchise is starting to get a little long in the tooth for me, and "target" rides on the edge of becoming overly done ... This "showbuilding" Dark Ride of sorts .. is still a welcome to DCA's short list of better quality attractions.
    * Animation Pavilion - the lobby alone is spectacular
    * the future "Cars" land with 3 very well themed attractions on the way .. a sure hit!
    * The walk around Grizzly Peek on the inner side of GRR's queue ... a well themed environment
    * Soarin' .. one of Disney's better original attractions
    * Walt Disney Plaza/Buena Vista Street .. with the Red Car trolley .... hopefully will have the charm it promises to deliver

    Cons -
    * Soarin's queue ... Doesn't seem they'll ever be able to address how totally lackluster it is.
    * Screamin's queue ..... Doesn't seem they'll ever bother to address that Six Flags atrocity!
    * Too many carry-overs from Paradise Pier 1.0 .. that are getting too little redressing ... or none at all. And I'm not holding my breath on ANY "Phase 2" projects beyond 2012.

    * The warf area "Food Court" - That's right - a "food court". Imagineers spending too much at the Westminster Mall, and other malls that create these hub of places that create this very "pedestrian" format for places to eat. I think the layout and design with it's two fabulous anchoring Attractions - the Boudin Baker Tour, and Mission Tortilla ... a carry over of DCA 1.0 THAT WILL HAVE TO BE ADDRESSED SOME DAY!!

    * The future renamed "Hollywoodland" is chuck full of "cons" .. from the Hyperion Theater .. and some issues. 2 buildings on both sides of Monsters Inc. with no longterm plan .. yet.

    * A big "con" in my book is ToT. I stand in line in a boring boiler room .. for a ride that last all but 2 minutes?! Disney's best immersive experiences that go through all this trouble .. generally last nothing less than 5 minutes. This one is just too darn short.

    * GRR .. another "con" ... great theming on the outside. Once I get inside .... nothing is going on ..except I'm getting drenched down to my underwear. Not fun. Along with ToT .. this might as well not exist .. since both are forever off my list of things to do in DCA.

I got a few other cons to list .. but I'll leave it at that.

We've been memorizing the lists for over five years now (longer if you count prior-visited discussion boards). No need to rehash them.

Pro: Right next door to Disneyland!
Con: Is always compared directly to Disneyland.

As long as Disney always prices them BOTH the same ... DCA will be compared to DL.

Yeah, DCA is sort of like Fish Sticks.......not a terrible thing when sitting on a plate next to some french fries; but put in on the same plate as a Maine Lobster Tail and all of the sudden it doesn't look very good

Smother it with tartar sauce and nobody'll know the difference.

Is tartar sauce a euphamism for something else?
