Either that or it was extremely boring (going with choice # 2)

I kind of feel bad that I never got to see Golden Dreams. I think having the mural/statue as a "treasure" is definitely approrpiate. Maybe the film will show up on the DCA 10th anniversary DVD?

So the Ariel in the ride is supposed to have been smoking a couple packs a day, for a long time?

    Don't.
Sad you feel that way about California's history.

To all the people who disliked Golden Dreams... Why all the dislike towards Golden Dreams? It was an original attraction, fit the california theme, and it was a 30 minute educational film on California's history... Disliking it is like going to Epcot's World Showcase Pavilions and hating on the films about each part of the world or disliking the Circlevision theater in Disneyland because it played the film about China or America... Or dare i go there, Disliking the Hall of Presidents or Mr. Lincoln. It fit the DCA theme a lot better than anything else, and to be honest while the film was kinda cheesy in some scenes, very basic, and a little stale (as it was obviously designed with the tourist in mind) it still fit the theme more than any other Pixar stuff in the park.... I kinda wish they would redo it to make it a little less cheesy and put it back in the Carthay Theater for the new plaza but I guess it will be staying in yesterland.

The only Disney attraction that I have fallen asleep (twice) on.
You've clearly never been on universe of energy at Epcot. LOL

And the small sun in the treasure room sounds good to me.

It's disliked because it wasn't as good as a World Showcase pavilion show like The American Adventure or even Impressions de France.
