    Hunchback of Notre Dame show

I was watching the Hunckback of Notre Dame today at school (long story) and was thinking that it could made a great show.

If it was a similar style to Aladdin at the Hyperion I think it would be really good. It has tons of songs in it and I think it would adapt well to a stage show

What are your ideas on this

Also is there a theatre thats never used in Frontierland. They could use that if it exists.

Ah, you must be a young one, or new to Disneyland fandom. The Festival Arena in Frontierland was created out of former Thunder Ranch territory to house the Hunchback of Notre Dame Festival of Fools "theater in the round" type musical show back in the 1990's after the movie came out. Loved that show!

It's funny because I watched Hunchback last night after a good 10 or so years. I'd go along with a Hunchback show.

It sits empty behind BTMRR. That space is going to be used for the rumored frontierland expansion.

Festival of Fools was an epic WIN! It was one of the best shows Disney has ever done.

The Festival Arena area is often rented out for private parties or special events.

It has not so great camera work and video quality, but, here is part 1 of 3 of a video of the Festival of Fools show so you can get an idea of what it was like. YouTube - Festival of Fools (Disneyland) Part 1 of 3

    you mean something like this?

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6GTl2hvQvdM?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6GTl2hvQvdM?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Granted, this was a German production, and the recording is a little dark (but the overall production has a dark tone), but you get the hint!

I have been campaigning for a Hunchback show in the Hyperion for some time now on this board.

Heck, I think Disney should have taken this to broadway before they took Little Mermaid, but that is my opinion.

Quasi also made an appearance in Animazement in the Fantasyland Theater, where he with Hercules and Pocahotas. Oh, and Frolo even had a brief appearance in Animazement, too, singing one line from "Hellfire".

Re: Hunchback of Notre Dame show

It's been posted (kind of,) but Disney Theatrical did a production of "Der Glockner von Notre Dame" in Germany around the turn of the millennium. It had a different ending and the tone was a little dark compared to the movie, but it was Hunchback. They've been trying to bring it to Broadway but they are unsure about how the dark production would be received by American audiences. There's still hope, though.

A real Hunchback show was an attraction at Disney MGM Studios from 1996 to 2002. It was like the other shows in the Studios, (Little Mermaid, B&tB,) although it did omit the "Hellfire" number.

It might be a little late to bring this movie to the Parks but I think there's still a big opportunity for it on Broadway.

I think so too! Just add a new number, a struggle number for Esmeralda(much like what they did for Aladdin @ DCA.)
