Cool So...Would You Say World of Color Has Died Down?

Would you say most of the attention from World of Color has gone away? I'm not seeing tons and tons of threads about it anymore.

In person, would you say there are way less people, or do you still think it's extremely popular?

I would say about the same....I mean I think the shows sells out everynight and for it not being summer its still filling up very nicely, the parks seems more crowded then in the summer but as for the show I would say the same or a little less.

Almost all of us have seen it. So there is no reason to tell people what it is like anymore. No more reason to talk about it anymore either. All we have to do is just visit DCA, get Fastpass, and watch it.

I wouldn't say it's died down at all. The crowds are still very similar if not more than they were in the summer. There are still A LOT of people who haven't seen the show with people who are visiting for the first time. It still packs em in!

I would say it's the same as last Summer. I was in a hotel in Oxnard yesterday morning and overheard a conversation behind me. They talked about visiting DCA and wanting to go on Tower of Terror...and the next item was "this color fountain thing"....

It's going to be popular for quite awhile. I'll bet they are still filling 3 shows next Summer.

During the show, do the crowds and wait times at Disneyland die down a lot?

I was at Disneyland last Thursday and all the fast passes were gone in no time flat, with people still standing in line.

The Friday before that, there were two shows, and both were filled to the brim.

People may not be discussing it on the boards, but it's still extremely popular in the park.

Not at all. Went on Thursday on the 14th and the show sold out within 20 minutes of DCA opening. I got there at 10:25 and it was already too late.

Sorry BFD55 but you are way off on this one. Hype and publicity has died down so the threads have slowed down. But, the show is as popular as ever with every show giving out it's alloted fastpasses every night!!!

Re: So...Would You Say World of Color Has Died Down?

The show is still immensely popular. Reason there's not a lot of talk on the boards is simple: It's "old" news. The uber-fans already know about it, talked about it, etc. They're moving onto newer topics such as the entrance starting to be torn down for refurb, the Maliboomer's demise, and the continuing construction of Carsland...oh, and the Little Mermaid.

However, the show is still selling out on most, if not all nights. There are some slow days where tickets for the second or third showing are available mid to late afternoon, but those days are pretty rare.

This show, in my honest opinion is going to stay VERY popular for a VERY long time because it's so versatile. If they change something HERE, or THERE, people will want to see the new section of the show. So for that, they'll want to always be coming back for it.

Re: So...Would You Say World of Color Has Died Down?

I was there a week ago on a Wednesday, and the one evening show was sold out by the afternoon. It will be interesting to see what happens in early 2011, specifically, I'm wondering if they'll still be offering that "2fer". I have a feeling it may no longer be neccesary, but we'll see.

I'd say that WoC will pack in the crowds as long as Fantasmic! has.

    (Basically, Forever).
