Cynthia wasn't all that bad. She wasn't great by any measure, I mean, she wasn't strong enough to help the park recover from the damage done by her predecessor and former boss, BUT, she did save the canoes. Give the lady some credit.
Nice lady. Perhaps not the best person for the job, but certainly not worthy of the sort of vilification usually reserved for the likes of Paul Pressler.
Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...
I don't really think we can liken Harriss to Pressler in 'evil kill Disneyland' sorta way just because she followed him to Gap. I believe that Pressler hired Harriss because he has worked with her for the last 10+ years in both Walt Disney Consumer Products and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, he knows what buttons to press and what she is good at - retail.
She knew she wasn't the right person for the job of DLR president, and I sorta feel sorry for her, because she was the person who was left with a messy American icon and a brand new park which was suffering miserably, yet she is constantly brought down to the same level as Pressler by fans who don't know enough (that isn't an insult, it isn't their fault that they don't know what really happened).
She brought the Disneyland logo back from Pressler Hell to replace Paul's lovely 'disney.land' logo, saved the canoe boats, and installed Believe and Imagine. I think.
