Cool What was the best thing in the Carousel Theater?

This is a fun poll I came up with from bordom. There have been 3 things in that building: First was Carousel of Progress, second was America Sings, and currently Innoventions. Which of those was the best thing to fill that building? You can also say "empty" for those who think that building is a waste.

Carousel of Progress (1967-1973) no video of DLR version but there is of WDW version: YouTube - Magic Kingdom Carousel of Progress
America Sings (1974-1988) videos: YouTube - America Sings Farewell (part 1) YouTube - America Sings Farewell (part 2)
    Empty (1989-1997)
    Innoventions (1998- Present)

It's been a lot of years, but I still haven't stopped missing America Sings. That was a terrific show. Saddly with the closing of Country Bears, there is nothing like this in Disneyland anymore.
Honestly, I don't remember COP from Disneyland, but I've been on it many times in WDW. It's alright, but it's no America Sings.
Innoventions - I think they've improved it a tad since it opened, but it's still a terrible waste of space.

The only two real options in this poll are Carousel of Progress and America Sings. I went with the latter since I never got to see the former.

America Sings for sure. I saw it several times when I first visited Disneyland in 1985 and was SO looking forward to it when I went back in 1989 and... it was gone. I was 15, but I was about ready to burst into tears. I loved the show that much.

I never had the privilege to see Carousel of Progress at Disneyland but absolutely LOVED America Sings. But after seeing the Carousel at MK I had to go with that. I absolutely LOVED it and the fact that it hasn't been updated in at least a decade.

I would have to say this option: Pan Galaticu's Musical Revue. (An unbuilt attraction for one of DL's Tomorrowland Remodels: TL2055.) Think of it like America Sings, except it has Aliens singing and it doesn't feature America ether.

I'm old enough to have seen them all, and COP in my opinion was/is the best.

Re: What was the best thing in the Carousel Theater?

I'm not sure which I would choose, Carousel of Progress or America Sings.

As for the better fit in Tomorrowland, Carousel of Progress is the one I would choose. I really love how well the show used the limited space it had, and how the show took you through the 20th Century, as well as through the year.

America Sings was a wonderful attraction and an amazing show, with a wider variety of AA animals than disney has ever had, before or since . Sure, it would have been better suited for being an attraction for Main Street USA, than Tomorrowland, but I thought it was better than several other mutiple AA shows that Disney still has running today (American Pavillion at EPCOT and Hall of Presidents at WDW's Magic Kingdom.)

I would really like to see both shows come back in some form, (along with at least one Country Bear Playhouse!)

Ripping out these AA attractions out of DL is like ripping out it's heart and soul.

Either America Sings or CoP. I loved both shows, and either one beats Innoventions, hands down.

I personally am not one to long for the past and "bring back the...", but that being said I definitely do miss attractions based on music and "sing along with us" like Country Bear Jamboree and America Sings

No tear down the the building and make a Tron ride...would be a great E-ticket ride and MUCH better than what they have in Tomorrowland

Come on...it's a rotating building! If Imagineers can't come up with something incredibly cool for such a unique venue, they're in the wrong business. Tearing it down to build a ride would, in my opinion, be a shame.

If they had to tear it down, though, it would be a nice sized building to hold much of a California version of Horizons. I'm just saying...
