Hey everyone! I rarely do trip reports, but some friends wanted me to do one since it was my 18th birthday and all. So, without further ado, here's the four days of fun!
We had some family in town from Texas, and we spent the first day at the beach. Both of our families have adopted girls from China, and this was the first time the girls have met each other. It was really awesome to see them start to interact with each other.
First item of the day, my little sister's gymnastics practice! Yes, yes, I know, she's asian, she's in gymnastics. We promise that she will be of the legal age when she makes it to the Olympics, unlike what her home country did.
The Dad's watching Hannah's practice
On the way to the beach, we decided to watch the World of Color! My little sister Hannah is so in love with the show, I wound up burning a copy of the show I shot, onto a DVD so she can watch it whenever wherever.
Not quite sure why she was sucking on her arm...but she's still cute!
My lovely sisters and I crammed like a bunch of sardines in the back of our Expedition.
Made a quick stop by the post office before we finally set out to the beach....and my dad just HAS to go to the post office next to Hooters. And he just HAPPENS to know that I didn't eat breakfast this particular morning, and I was REALLY hungry.
But alas, we did not go to Hooters....which made me really sad.
Since we had to book it to the beach...we ended up eating...HERE.
We all got our lunch, crammed back into the car, and then started our little excursion to La Playa.
Oh, and I got a Ding Dong.
Pirates quote numbah one! "Ghastly Weather we're having."
We were all packed pretty tight in here. Two car seats, 4 adults and two teens.
We all wound up putting stickers on everyone.
I'm never on my phone....nope. Not at all.
Made it to the Avila Barn! First stop!
Another location for my senior photos! First ones were shot at Disneyland. Now at the Avila Barn!
"See that cute girl right there? Yea, I want her number."
My sister rocks at photography. Just FYI.
Captain Morgan...for the win!!
"Come on Emily, there's no one in here to scare you"
As soon as I said that, I turned around, and this 10 year old kid ran into me and scared me. -_-
Evil EMU!!! :O
Coolest sister. In. The. World.
Walking around the beach.
Eliana's first steps in the Pacific Ocean!
Now, here's something I do with my little sister. Don't call CPS or anything, because this is perfectly safe. I hold her hands nice and tight, and then I swing her back and forth three times...then I flip her over on my back.
Too bad I didn't get to go surfing.
Now onto dinner, and the San Luis Street fair!
One of my favorite pizza spots.
Ok, I didn't take any more photos from the rest of the night, but all we did was walk around the street fair, ate pizza, then went home. As soon as I got home, I jumped on editing the film from earlier in the day. (We celebrated my cousin's baby dedication at the beach today, and since my aunt and uncle were going to be in town only until Saturday morning, this was the only time I had to work on the baby dedication.
So, we get home at 11, I cleaned up, checked facebook, then jumped on editing the film around midnight. By the time I was done editing, and burning the film to a DVD, it was 2:30 AM, and I had to get some sleep before waking up at 5:00 AM to head out for Disneyland!
DAY 2 coming up soon!
