Help! Need Blue Bayou reservations for Thanksgiving

Please help! My wife and I are flying from North Carolina to LA to spend Thanksgiving with my brother (who lives in LA). Our parents are also flying down from Seattle to join us. We have been planning this for the last couple of months. We spend Thanksgiving there some years back and had a great Thanksgiving dinner at the Blue Bayou. Back then, you didn't need to call Disney Dining to get priority seating - they only gave prior seating in person the day of your visit.

Well, needless to say, everyone is crushed because we are told that the Blue Bayou is completely booked that day. My question is, does anyone know of a way that we can get a table on Thanksgiving at the Blue Bayou? Can we wait standby? Is there another way of getting a reservation? Anything anyone can do to help save our Thanksgiving would be appreciated! Thank you!!!

When we were there three weeks ago, we had PS set for 2:00 and they were turning away stand-by folks. They said that they were at capacity for the day.

Try Storytellers or the Grand Ballroom Buffet for openings. We are having our T-Day dinner in the Grand Ballroom, and I've heard that quite a few others here are going to Storytellers...

Also, while you are on the phone, ask if they have any openings ANYWHERE in the system.

If I were you I would just ask the Dine number what is open for Thanksgiving, and it probably isn't much.

Yah... Disney Dine now does restaurant reservations up to 90 days in advance (Walt Disney World does for some locations up to six months!) so I'm sure that most major holidays were booked solid a few weeks/months ago.

Doubt that they'll be any openings... and I know that day they probably won't do stand-by either at the Bayou. Try another location (like Napa or Storyteller's). I'm pretty sure that Bayou does 100% of their seats through reservations now (the WDW restaurants were changed to that a while back). I think Goofy's is the same as well.

I can tell you that the Grand Buffet in the Ballroom is fully booked, I tried yesterday

Though the Grand Buffet may be fully booked, there is a stand by line. The earlier you get there the earlier of course you will be seated. It is more expensive than the Blue Bayou, but if you have never experienced it, it will be a Thanksgiving feast to remember.
