World of Color CD/DVD Combo idea

There's been a lot of people on here who are hoping to have a soundtrack released for World of Color, myself included.

Not sure if they still have plans to release one, but I was thinking of an idea for the soundtrack.

There would be a CD/DVD combo pack that contains the soundtrack and a DVD.

The CD would contain the full show audio as well as unused audio from scenes cut (Alice for ex) and demo audio and even the original Wonderful World of Color theme!

The DVD would contain a documentary that shows how World of Color came to be and all that. For the bonus features, they can put in video clips from the Abbey Road Studio sessions and WoC programming clips. Also would contain an episode from The Wonderful World of Color TV show.

They can sell them indivdually, with the soundtrack going for $14.99 and the DVD for $19.99

For the CD/DVD combo, it can run for $24.99 or $29.99.

At first I thought you were suggesting they sell the actual show on DVD, which they would only do if it was closing after a very long and successful run. haha. I'm not sure your average park guest would buy this not thinking that's what it was, but if they could make it clear that they weren't getting the show, Sounds good.

I came up with 2 titles for the DVD:

1. World of Color: Behind the Scenes Look
2. Disneyland Resort Behind the Scenes: World of Color (This would mean that they would have to make a series for other shows and attractions)

I'm sure that a lot of DLR fans would want to buy this.

Would a new DVD come out as the show gets updated? For example, next year WoC gets updated with Tangled, and the show uses new features not seen before. Would that be a chance to make a new DVD and sell it as a stand alone? Maybe make the OST limited edition and make it a collectors item, that way it's more special.

Disney is losing money for not having a CD at least come out....even a 10-15 dollars DVD would make them bank....really thy could just make a DVD very year of all the new improvements and Disney fans would buy it....its cheap and easy for them to make but for some reason they don't ever do anything like this.

I know. They know they have a large Disneyland fanbase that will buy a soundtrack of shows and DVD's of the park. They're missing out on a opportunity here.

Love the idea of the video..
But, just like saying, though not endorsed by Disney ( i think) there are soundtrack podcasts available through itunes.
I'm listening to it as i type.. and its free.
But it would be neat to hear the soundtrack not featured in the final cut

I admit. I also have the ITM Episode that has the audio, but it would be nice to have a soundtrack to add to my collection.

I would still buy the soundtrack if they do come out with one.

Mines just the audio/opening day disney officials sppech "Disney World of Color World Premiere" with Window to the magic audio adventure
and wouldn't call it a collection here, but it would go nicely with the 50th anniversary audio cd

In regards about the soundtrack. I checked Steve Davison's Fan Page on FB, and he answered a question about a soundtrack coming out. He was told it could be out soon as he was told.

I thought it was already out as a friend that works for WDI sent me an mp3 copy of it. Oh, maybe that was supposed to be our little secret... whoops!
