Protest charging EXTRA for Christmas! TDA thinks they can be TDO and treat the APs and SoCal base like the rubes that go to WDW. Guess again! We can't let them win on this. Why should we be FORCED to buy an extra ticket when it's FREE now!? TDA is just seeing the dollar signs from TDO and Special K wants a piece of the action.
They own the park, they can do whatever they want.
its their park, i bet AP's had to sign something(contract), and their was fine print that's says they can do whatever.(my guess)
Apparently I'm out of the loop but what Christmas thing are they charging more for?
I'd like to know where you heard this from. As far as I know, TDA isn't charging extra for Christmas time.

Now we have to pay to see the fireworks next season...........
I don't understand their logic? The halloween event was not just for the fireworks and parade. I went to see face characters who are not available during the regular hours.
How could they sell this? Not very many people would pay extra for snow and fireworks.

I would hope they would just make the Christmas holiday stuff a ticketed event for the last 2 weeks of the year, and keep it the way it is now for the early part of December... More people are off then anyway.
Don't do it at all, TDA has to look at more then just the million APs. They also have to look at guests that, like me, pay about $50 per day in the park, they can't expect a vacationing family to spend even more money to experience the Christmas festivities that have been included in park admission since Walt had the first Holiday celebration in 1955

Don't rule out other things for the Christmas Parties. Disney knows what made the Halloween Parties so sucessful and profitable so they would recreate that at Christmas. They aren't stupid.
As for the general idea of it all. Meh.
A million AP's snapped up tickets for 8 dollars a month thinking that they were saving a ton of money. Well, now we see how Disney intends to recoup some of that cash. I can't understand why everyone is suprised. This is good business on their part, charging for things there is an absolutly huge demand for. Isn't that what good ol' American Capitalism is all about?
And as always, the tourist already paying a hundred, if not a thousand times more to visit the park suffers more and more at the hands of the AP system.
Nice attitude. Next time try making your case without pointless swipes at people who vacation in WDW. What a nonsensical thing to try to make yourself feel superior about.
