In fact, no movies in Tomorrowland.
I'd rather see an original approach, too. But no Tron means no nothing, doesn't it? Is it an either or proposition?

What can you do with line and color? I dunno, maybe things like...

Herb Ryman's aerial view of Disneyland. Marc Davis' sketches for Pirates of the Caribbean, Country Bear Jamboree and America Sings. Rolly Crump's inspirational pen-and-ink doodle design for the Small World Clock (oops, that was only black-and-white, sorry). John Hench's designs for Tomorrowland '67. Just about anything by Mary Blair.

Oh, and nearly 50,000 years of drawings, paintings, designs, illustrations and iconography, from cave art to Photoshop, by uncounted millions of artists.

    Stuff like that, mostly.

What, animation doesn't make the list, Wiggins? The bedrock of Disney.

Apparently, Wiggins is drawn to everything but animation.

I picked the high speed indoor track ride. This is what I always thought it would be back when the people mover went through the tron area in the innoventions building.

Re: New TRON Themed E-Ticket For Tomorrowland

Okay i voted for a 3D simulater, to fully immerse you in the videogame world of tron. Here is my ideas:
You bored a 4 passenger tron-like vehicle, two on a team. There are video screens all around you and you put on your tron glasses. The world turns 3d. The concept is a racing game, where you explore the world of Tron by steering a wheel collecting stuff. When you go over a bump your vehicle moves up and then down. Same with turning. It's like a mix of Toy Story Midway Mania and Star Tours ll. You can run into people and your vehicle whizzes out of control, along with your video screen. Thoughts?

What about a Tron laser tag arena, where people would compete in a gladiator battle like in Legacy? Participants would wear special light up armor with the helmet and ID disk on the back. It wouldn't take as nearly as much space as a ride, and it would be really fun!

The only tidbit I'm going to give you guys...

Disney is developing a new ride system specifically for the attraction. Simulator is thinking too small. Think bigger, faster.

So you do work for Disney then? I'm guessing they wouldn't be too happy that you're telling us this.

Unless you're referring to the PM SuperSpeed Tron tunnel XP

If Disney just gave the Imagineers the go ahead to create concept art and stuff, I'm surprised they've already created a model of the ride vehicle.

You don't have to work for Disney to see some of their projects in the works.

Concepts have been drawn up since the film went into pre-production.

Models are usually made for concepts - there is only so much you can communicate using artwork. It's a brand new ride system that requires a lot of design work with various companies that are partnering and/or bidding for the project.

Stop thinking of the ride vehicles you've seen before.
