Which Rides Do You Like To GO On For A Little "Quiet Time"?

Sometimes, a person has to relax and get away from this crazy noisy world. While at Disneyland, do you ever feel the need to relieve all that pent up stress and seek some quiet time on a pleasant ride that sooths the senses. One such ride for me is the Storybook Canal Boats. Another is Peter Pan's Flight. How about you? Hmmmmm?

    From the Lagoon of Liquidspaceman...
I would have to agree with you, Ride Warrior. I would probably say Storybook Canal Boats. Which reminds me, when I was at Disneyland's 35th Anniversary party, I saw an elderly man stepping off one of the boats. He was all dressed up, but he was by himself. I felt sorry for him and instantly started crying uncontrollably. It was really weird and came out from nowhere. It probably came on from being tired and hoping I wasn't seeing my future, in that man getting off of the canal boat. So, yes, it would definitely be the canal boats for me.

Splash mountain for me. A very close second is the disney railroad. Just love those two and always do them whenever I feel like i need to re-energize for the bigger rides again. Very relaxing.

From what I've seen of you Liquidspaceman, you're one cool guy. It's obvious that you will never be lacking in quality friendships. That elderly guy served the purpose of causing you to never lose sight of how lucky you are. And yes, the Storybook Land Canal Boats are so quiet and peaceful that they are theraputic.

Re: Which Rides Do You Like To GO On For A Little "Quiet Time"?

I guess we all have different deffinitions of quiet time? I can only say the railroad cause that tends to be what I take around at the start of the day or at the end when I'm tired.

Pirates could be quite but often I get some noise group of people with their kids behind me...

If we were doing WDW I would totally say Peoplemover. Used that think on a couple trips to get away from my noisy/annoying second cousins. Just sit back and relaxed, woulda been nice to take a girl with me on that one too :P be all romantic.

Ya DLR n33ds to add back their Peoplemover and make our Tomorrowland prettier at night.

Pirates is my "relax time" ride. It's a good long ride, moves slow, and usually doesn't have any bothersome guests on it.

Quiet time? Try the PeopleMover, Motorboat Cruise, Skyway and Keelboats, followed by a leisurely lunch or dinner beside the waterfalls of the Tahitian Terrace. After dark, a stroll along the Rivers of America and a nighttime cruise on the Mark Twain is just the thing, followed by an exploration of New Orleans Square's shops, each of which features unique merchandise. For the ultimate in quietude, enjoy the atmosphere of New Orleans Square's picturesque Court of Angels, far removed from the hustle and bustle of outdoor vending and the ka-ching of cash registers.

For even more relaxation, the Disneyland Hotel Tram leaves every ten minutes for the Disneyland Hotel, where you can stroll under the waterfalls, soak up the tranquillity of the koi ponds, and enjoy a peaceful paddleboat cruise on the marina.

Oh, wait... you guys are talking about Disney.

    Never mind.

    Ditto Mr. Wiggins!
I was thinking of all the quiet time stuff we USED to find at Disnelyland. Including the Bear Jamboree.(I know ...not a ride) Sometimes you just need a place in the DLR to hide when things get crazy. There are still a few Like the Mark Twain and Columbia. Pirates too for the most part except waiting in line just to slow down for a while seems too much. There are still a few hiding places..but maybe that should be another thread sometime.

The Mark Twain with a chair on the foredeck. The 'grand circle tour' aboard the railroad. A visit to the petting zoo at the Circle D Ranch (closed to petting at the holiday season).

I cant say that I go on any ride for quiet time. Personally I head over to New Orleans Square for some down time. I will either sit and watch the artists or hopefully that guy, I dont remember his name, that plays the blues guitar is there.
