    Autopia's Wasteful Licenses

    Hello Everyone,

Is it me, or does Autopia waste A LOT of paper doing those stupid little license things? They must give out tens of thousands a day, and they do absolutely nothing! Everyone takes one, walks no more than 10 feet, and throws them away. For Disney trying to be green, they are really hurting the Earth with this decision, not to mention the money needed to product all the cards.

Do you think Disney should stop giving them out all together, or just maybe to people that ask for them?

While they're at it - get rid of the park maps too!

They don't need to take it that far, because I see them always out of maps everyday I go. But the cards are useless, and just plain wasteful.

This is one of those little things that Disney does: a step above and beyond that's not necessary, but it done to enhance the experience. If they take them away, wouldn't it be declining by degrees?

Yes, I agreed the licenses are useless. But, back then right before the construction of Finding Nemo they used to have an Autopia store that sell Autopia cars and so fore.

Did you guys know that they used to give away free Autopia car value at $15 -$20 if you are the luckiest guest to receive the "Luckiest Licenses" that said "You WON! a Autopia car please present this card at the shop to receive your free gift" I was the Luckiest Guest that Won the free gift 7-8 years ago.

I don't know if they still do those giveaway.

This is one of those little extras that makes Disneyland special and yet it gets flak. Another example of Disney not being able to win. Their bad if they keep doing this "wasteful" stuff, and their just as bad if they eliminate these little extras.

Distributing them might be a condition of Chevron sponsorship too since they are basically advertisements for Chevron. Didn't Indiana Jones decoder cards stop after AT&T left?

Keep the paper licenses and get rid of the toilet paper and napkins.

Now you're left with one little license to use as toilet paper or a napkin....OR BOTH.

    You decide.

    Re: Autopia's Wasteful Licenses

I'm actually surprised they're even still giving these away. I thought for sure it was going to be something cool they would do for a little while after the new Autopia first opened, then stop when the novelty wore off and it was time to make budget cuts.
