Saturdays are usually very busy.
Really? I have gone on a bunch of dead Saturdays. Its not a holiday weekend, but there is an event, thats why I asked.
I might be wrong, then. I just kind of figured weekends would be much busier due to kids not having to go to school and such. In my own personal experience, this has been the case, but I've also only gone to Disneyland five times in the past 7-8 years so I'm not a very reliable source on the matter.
The numbers on the calender above should be fairly accurate for the weekend in question.
Sunday two days ago was significantly less crowded than last week(days). Some times weekends are less crowded than weekdays, but for the most part, they will be a little more crowded than weekdays. However it still should be pretty empty if you go on an off-season weekend. I've been to the park on weekends when crowds were mild, less crowded than summer, Christmas, and other breaks--that's for sure.
Last week was a special case though because it was the week after Presidents day which is notoriously busy.
March 10 -13?

when does spring break start this month?
My kids spring break starts march 14th, Inland Empire area. It's crazy, spring break USED to contain Easter!

Spring Break is all over the map this year because Easter is so late (04/24). We live in Ventura County and Spring Break for my girls (middle and HS) is the week before Easter. This is good news for us because we are heading to WDW for Spring Break and I am expecting fewer crowds than usual because the dates are so spread out. Fingers crossed!
My son's spring break is April 11th - 15th. The school my mom works at is April 18th - 22nd. Both schools are in Orange County.Originally Posted by jolly james

i got home from the parks and it was average so far. but it slowling picking up.the warm weather must have something to do with it. i think within 3 weeks the parks are going to be busy.
It was much busier than expected today, for me. Yesterday was a little busy but today really surpassed it. Lots of cheerleaders, and also lots of groups for deaf awareness day. I actually gave some directions to a deaf group and it was very cool how they could read my lips! (I don't know any deaf people personally, so I was impressed.) I left after I learned from a cast member than Fantasmic! would be canceled, because I knew that would make fireworks a mess and decided not to watch them.
But it felt just like summer, you could smell all the food cooking and everyone was in shorts and tank tops, and lines were pretty long. I got to go upstairs for the Jungle Cruise for quite a while, haha! You know it's busy when jungle cruise is more than a 15 minute wait!
I think this must be the 1st week of spring break for many areas of the country, and that it will stay "spring break" until Easter. My brother's spring break starts 8 days from now, so I think it will be packed in about a week! (packed in a spring way, not a May or late December way. steady crowds having fun out in the sun.) Tomorrow I will go and try to do what I missed today.
