I've been wondering about this for a while now and actually discussed this with a former Imagineer (which did not provide much insight) so I wanted to pose this question. Why did TDA decide to build a land dedicated to the movie Cars?
As I look at it, there is not another land (to my knowledge) that has been built/designed based on a movie, so why this one? When I asked the Imagineer, his response was "because it was a huge sucess". Well, if that were the case why wouldn't Disney decide to build a land based on Toy Story? This to me would open the door for a lot more possibilities of rides and would not tie you down to one particular themed land. Since DCA seems to be going the way of Pixar and Toy Story has been its biggest hit, why not a Toy Story Land?
Just wondering what everyone else thinks about this subject.
