In my opinion, people were just happy to something new, in general. I mean, Disneyland's fireworks NYE show/display has been the same routine (music lineup, etc) for over a decade, if not more. Disneyland needs to do something new but Go Fly A Kite, It's A Small World & Zip a Dee Doo Dah segments still a fav...

I totally agree. Two totally different shows with different amounts of space. DCA's show was awesome, but I'll give credit to DL that they didn't play Justin Bieber.

Disneyland's show was family oriented, and more than wonderful for my 10 year old. Each one iof us found plenty to love, and we would not have chosen to have been anywhere else.

But if Disneyland had the better show and everyone started bashing DCA. There would be no complaints from anyone about it. And you know it's true.

DCA looked better, but Disneyland is still #1.
I'll take a large Tea Cup with a side of Casey Jr. And when will all the construction finally end?

The videos of DCA's New Year's looked great. I was doing video work at Universal CityWalk last night, but escaped early and was able to watch Disneyland and DCA's shows from the McDonalds on Harbor Blvd.

Well, I must say that this is without a doubt the best countdown show I've ever seen from DLR. Very nice. I would've much rather have been at DCA then sitting on my butt at home watching some stupid glowy ball drop.

DCA's show is amazing. It really shows how different it is compared to the past countdowns there. I'm happy they put Lady Gaga's "Telephone" in there too!!!
Like the ones before the lagoon was drained.

And the one that they did in Sunshine Plaza last year because the lagoon was drained.

I apologize if these have been posted already, but these videos are pretty cool. DCA, in previous years, failed miserably. lol Both videos courtesy of asianbma.

Doesn't Disney have to pay to use that music. I'm surprised they didn't just use music they own.

They care about what's popular - what connects with the younger generations.

If you don't want to hear that music - go to Disneyland.
