    Question Red Car Trolley route

So according to a new rendering of Buena Vista St via Twitter

Rendering of the new Entry is displayed on the "Wall&quo... on Twitpic

It looks like the trolley is actually far less crowding than I thought it would be. It's hard to see, but it looks like it doesn't cross down both ways of the street. As in, it's one way track actually goes behind part of current locker bays and comes out somewhere near Soarin, then heads down to Hollywood. I original thought I'd seen pics of it wrapping around the little island near the turnstiles, which would have been very cramped. Thoughts?

^The track doesn't go that far. It stops right there almost in the center of the pic. What youre seeing is a planter or sidewalk that follows the same path after the tracks stop.

Yep, it looks like the tracks stop just to the right of the tree in the image.

I agree with the OP, wrapping the tracks around the island probably would've felt cramped - I'm okay with this track

I don't think the plans ever called for it to wrap around the entrance plaza. I remember seeing those renderings of the tracks a while ago and there was no loop.

Also, that concept art is actually pretty old. Notice the 's in "Disney's California Adventure" and the Mark V monorail.

I noticed those two things, as well. The cars reverse direction and only need one spot to pass each other, near the 1/2 way point in Hollywood.

Every piece of concept art I've seen of this has always shown this route! There was never a loop. IIRC they have the route in the BSC showing the same thing.

I'm 95% sure the plans never changed on this. I always thought the track was going to go this way.

the track actually ends not to far from where the ATMS near the restrooms are located now. the track never had a loop.

you could see the stop in the art represented by a covered wooden trolley stop. Once there the trolly will run south under the bridge then turn west towards the Condor flats entrance and basically follow what was once the old parade route. Its dificult to see int at art but if you look closely at the area in front of the zephyr there is a hub with a large cantera fountain. the trolly will go around it and turn right before it reaches the El camino road. it will then turn east and go in front of the Carhay and then turn towards hollywood.

Man, I just got the image of riding in the Monorail while it goes over the entrance to DCA and looking down out the window to the image of the trolley rolling along! I am BEYOND excited!
