Disneyland after Dark - January 2011

Just arrived this evening after a drive down from Nor Cal, and so of course, went into the park for remaining two and a half hours or so. Thar be photos!



















































As is evident, pretty much closed the place...first time have deliberately hung around past the point when most head out, and it was interesting to do. Hope these were enjoyed and trip is barely started here...so more to come at some point. Cheers!

Boy, there is NOTHING like Disneyland at night. We especially enjoy is durint the summer when it is so warm and the cricketts are chirping. Thanks for the pix.

I too have a soft spot for night shots. Disney does wonders with lighting. Excellent shots. The shot of main street just totally empty, really cool. Just using long exposures?

Thank you! Well, mainly it involves a collapsible tripod and patience heh.

In the "done and posted fast" area, bringing my laptop and batch converting to resize at the hotel when back from the park makes all the difference. Only 20% wizardliness involved

Actually, the settings are very simple = collapsible tripod + "night tripod" setting on my camera, something I just recently discovered, and leave it alone for the extended shutter time. I use a Fujifilm S1500.

Not that long...that's actually the amount of people in the park (about 8:45 on a 8 o'clock closing night, Main Street still open).
