Request: Photos of Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) in her Blue Dress

Hi, folks! I recall a while ago that Princess Aurora, or Sleeping Beauty if you prefer, would go around in her blue dress at the parks. That is more accurate to the film, as she spent most of the movie in her blue dress, not pink. Nowadays, because Disney thinks their guests are stupid, she needs to be differentiated from Cinderella by being in her pink dress. My girlfriend loves Sleeping Beauty, but hates the color pink. If you guys have any pictures of Princess Aurora in a blue dress I would really appreciate it. It would make my girlfriend very happy. Also, does anyone know when they started featuring her in the wrong color?

I have one somewhere in a photo album... it's from 2004 I think? Also, the postcard set that they used to sell had her in her blue dress.

I believe the change was made circa 2003. I've heard people ask her about it. I believe in DLRP she still appears in blue or at least did a year or so ago.

These are the only ones I have of her in the blue. I also agree that it is stuipe that Disney had to change her dress color. I think the blue brings Aurora out better then the Pink one dose.

You could always search through Flickr or Photobucket for older pictures of her. I'm sure there are some there.

ORWEN: I like Aurora better in her pink dress because there are already enough other Disney heroines who wear blue--such as Alice, Wendy, Cinderella, etc. It's nice to see somebody in a different color for a change. (Plus I like pink better than blue anyway.)

It would be amazing if they had the technology to make her a magical color changing dress. It could switch from blue to pink right before your eyes! I've always wished they had a float for her in the MSEP or Tokyo's Dreamlights where she had a dress made out of lights that transformed like that. After all, in TDL's parade, Cinderella has a magical dress transformation moment too, so it's possible, at least with lights. Still, it would be amazing to see it just do that to her normal dress during the day, just like the movie does.

Someone came to Halloween as Aurora. Her dress was half blue and half pink, split vertically. Very cool.
