Family Fun Weekends!

I did a search on this topic but didn't find much on my query. I apologize if I repeated another thread.
On the Disneyland online calendar it said that there's a performance of "Fiesta Disneyland" at the Festival Arena at 12 am. Why is that?
I thought this series of events wasn't supposed to start until Friday the 14th? How do you guy suppose this new offering of events will do with visitors? I'm really looking forward to the Mardi Gras weekends!

I think most of the weekends look kind of....cheesy. And I love kitschy stuff like that, so that's saying something.
