So I know most people aren't too hot on the "Let the Memories Begin" campaign... and I'm admittedly not a huge fan of it either. However, I do think the new show will be cool.
But that's all beside the point.
You all probably know that the main focus of the show is "you!" And to have guests star in the show, special Photopass photographers are placed in key "memorable" locations to capture photos to be used in the show.
My girlfriend and I were in the parks on January 10th getting our traditional photo in front of the Partners statue for that visit, when a Photopass photographer approached us and asked if we want to have our photos in the new show debuting January 287th.
Of course we said yes, because, why not?
He then proceeded to take photos. He took a few of us in a traditional smiling pose, he then had us to a couple prince/princess poses.
For the first one I flexed while my girlfriend did the princess thing (no idea what to call this).
And for the second one he has us pose like Prince Philip and Princess Aurora do in parades.
We then asked if we could look at these photos online, and they said that one of the perks of having our photos taken is that we get a special Photopass card to redeem online where we can download all of the photos we just took for free.
Heck yeah, free photos!
So I redeemed the code and a few days later I received an e-mail saying that I had a "gift" waiting for me. A link brought me to the website where I was able to download all 7 high-res photos of us, no strings attached.
So here's 3 of the photos we got (the others were just multiple shots of the same poses):
And then of course they gave us the whole "you could see your photos on Small World!" spiel... but what are the chances of that? As exciting as it would be to see our photos on Small World, I feel like the chances that our photos will actually be up there on the day we are are pretty slim.
But anyway, after this experience I've found myself being much more excited about the "Let the Memories Begin" campaign than I was before. It was a fun little experience and I think it's extremely awesome that Disney is giving guests free copies of their photos as a "Thank You".
Now, I'd like to assume that we aren't the only MiceChatters that got our photos taken for this campaign. So if you've gotten your photos taken as well, share your photos! If not, provide your input on how this potentially changes how you feel about LTMB.
