Can you hear fish talking to you now? If not, it seems like that would be something from the future and not the present.
I will NOT be disappointed if they don't use it. I will rejoice. I love the building as is. I merely mentioned it as the most likely method to get the night time display from the concept art being shown currently in the BSC. Since the daytime and nighttime art showed different things, it made logical sense as the cheapest/easiest route to carry that out. That was all. Didn't say it was going to happen, but if that art is accurate, then it is the most likely method. All hypothetical.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter
Thats a huge stretch. Should they put Mr toad in tomorrowland as well?? since in the future we might be able to hear frogs talk? Lol
By the way..Whats a European castle doing at the end of a turn of the century street? Not very immersive. Clearly Walt didnt understand transitions.

Saw the building last night while leaving World of Color, looks beautiful with the big lights under the arch.
For me part of the fun of tracking DCA is that we don't know 100% what to expect in the end. Details could show up right to the last minute before the ride opens, out of the blue. I wonder if Mr. Lassiter has come and inspected the Mermaid building in person or if he will.

When they added the food carts after the games were redone... weren't there newspaper hints or something in the touches that referenced the 20s? I remember something like that but wouldn't go back through all the posts to find it.
To all the thread-crappers... there are simple answers
1) skip the post
2) ignore the poster if you have problems with them repeatedly
3) Don't like the direction of the discussion? Instead of thread-crapping.. why not CONTRIBUTE and see if your post takes hold. The thread-crapping posts are way more of a waste of space then discussions you don't like.
Instead of complaining - try contributing.

Am I evil? I am man, yes, I am
I have though. I honestly still wonder what Lincoln, Mickey, and Victorian British characters have to do with turn of the century Main Street but it doesn't bother me because it just works. They evoke that small town America theming whether or not they fit. Same goes with PP. Screamin may use modern technology (as any newer ride should) but to me it still evokes those classic seaside boardwalk and the coaster really weaves and integrates that image in my head. The coaster IMO is the biggest thing in tying the whole land together. Could it be dressed up a little more...sure...there's always room for improvement and at times it can look a little too industrial and steel looking. Is it some huge sore thumb now that doesn't fit...not at all. TSMM and TLM both don't technically fit a 20's pier but the concepts behind the rides (midway games and classic boardwalk dark rides more specifically based around undersea fantasies) and the looks of them (the seaside Victorian and more Art Deco/Expo Hall Aquarium look) do fit. Seems that in the desire to have DCA be better, many push for extremes in themes that even DL cannot reach. Earlier in this thread there were some brilliant post outlining what lands in Disney parks do. It's something along the line of not historically replicating to the t, rather provide a more magic, romantic vision of things of the past by evoking the feelings, sights, and sounds of theme. For me PP does that and with the continuing improvements, will continue to do that.
And on another note while at DCA yesterday before Flashback, I got the chance to really check out TLM building. It really does look much better in person. The colors are a little bland but I'm sure the line of trees that will go in front of building will help break the monotony. It really looks spectacular especially the stain glass and "honey comb/Moroccan" accents on the side towers and some of the larger lanterns. I am probably one of the few who prefers the way the reliefs are painted. I'm glad they don't draw attention to the sisters in the relief and rather have it as something that is more understated and less noticeable and in your face. It'll be one of those things that only the Disney fans will get.
No Mr Toad can stay in Fantasyland since that is where the Anthropomorphic (unsure of spelling) animals live. Animals that are in any time and space but live as people (wearing clothing, reading books and the like) are the ones in Fantasyland.
Nemo is we as humans going aboard a sub that has technology that enables us to understand what the fish are saying.
Technology we don't have = Tomorrowland
No technology needed to understand them = Fantasyland
And I don't consider the castle at the end of a turn of a century street. The hub to me is like a portal or magic mirror that can take us anywhere we want to go (Yesterday, Today, and Neverland). So in my mind, Main Street ends at the hub - and anywhere you go from there is not Main Street USA anymore.
Just my thoughts. Not expecting anybody to like them. Sorry to derail and please continue with your Tracking of Projects located in California Adventure.

So....nitpick.....
....no new news....
.....more nitpick....
Why do we call this a PROJECT TRACKER again?
wasn't sure where to post this... Looks like the Disney website people need to update this website
Disney Parks Scroll down and look a the graphic on the left representing the Disneyland resort. Mickey's profile still appears on California Screamin'.
