Wow... I didn't realize they grew cherries up there.

They don't. They just sort of gather there for the great Cherry Mating season and disney takes advantage of it by striking at just the right moment when all the cherries are too busy getting it on. Once they use their mighty claws to scoop up a sufficient amount of unsullied cherries they come back down and use the cherries they captured in the virgin mint juleps that can be purchased accross the esplanade in new orleans square.

I wonder if there will be any cars parked in the stalls at the V8 cafe. I drive-up with no cars would seem pretty empty.

i think ive seen concept art backstage somewhere that the drive up will be outside seating

car themed seating areas would be great for the V8 cafe, they would be similar to the ones they use in the drive-in eatery at hollywood studios florida.

Ive heard rumor that an expansion of CL would include a similar eatery that would show Cars themed movies.

google maps looks very clear and hd now. It has good views of DCA but it's from spring. but still, it looks a lot clear.

There won't be any car-themed seating at Flo's cafe. The outdoor area will have some seating, but it looks to be standard type seating. There really isn't enough room for car-themed tables/seating.

There were plans for a Drive-In style restaurant (similar to the Sci-Fi Dine-In at DHS) but it was scrapped. It could be part of a future expansion, but from everything we've heard there are no plans for it at this point.

If Flo's is supposed to represent a drive-in restaurant, how will they manage that without at least some cars there?

I'm interested in seeing how the landscape for carsland will be. When you look at the film Radiator Springs has zero trees. Wonder how they will deal with that.

I remember reading somewhere that John Lasseter was a big advocate of bringing trees into Carsland. Apparently, he and the Imagineers incorporated trees into the design of the land to highlight different buildings and stuff like that. Could you imagine walking down the street, in the middle of July, with no shade?! That would just be miserable with the hot asphalt and rockwork absorbing heat. Whew!

From the weekly pictures you can see they already have added some fake trees and brush to the mountain range. And also in between the track sections you can see real trees being added.

DCA 1.0= Cars Land

If they do not incorporate shade somewhere in Cars Land then the same complaints that were brought up for DCA 1.0 would be brought up about Cars Land. No shade is one of the many things that made DCA unbearable during the day, especially during the summer. I doubt Disney will forget the lessons they learned from that failure. Cars Land will have shade.
