How would that be even taken as a joke? It's stuff that happens likely on a daily basis. Maybe your sense of humor is in finer tune than apparently a group of us...

I keep saying it, but Spookhouse inspired by the Mad Doctor would be fantastic.

Wow just as TreoFred mentions hiding the silo, it disappears. That'll be a nice change. Wonder if they removed it more because of Mission leaving the building or because Fillmore's Taste In is progressing further in construction. That picture of the Engineers sign removed really shows how industrial Sunshine Plaza did look. Wow. Great info and pics. The tracker thread has come around once more.

True. But should just anything be made to fit, or should something that fits more organically and believably be used instead?

Come on people let's get something that actually fits the theme.
Actually it would fit rather nicely in Paradise Gardens, since it's retheme.

    My bolding on the quote:

If only there were someone like Marc Davis still working at Disneyland.
There are plenty of artist who are like Marc Davis at WDI today, but the folks at the top of the company are not the same as Walt who instructed Marc with what he wanted. Marc was given an idea by Walt to run with and then he did his artistic magic.

And even Marc wasn't always a home run (this is not meant to say his design were bad, just that they were not necessarily realized, just like some good stuff from WDI today). He kept on working long after Disney passed away and quite a few of his later design (Western River Expedition, Enchanted Snow Palace, etc.) were never built.

i understand that he didn't always get what he wanted, even though tons of people want the Western River Expedition to be built. I'm just trying to asking why can't Disney build attractions like the ones he created instead of just a bunch of random dark rides like the Ratatouille pixar ride people are talking about replacing GSS. Why does everything have to be character oriented? Obviously it's to make the kiddies happy.

Are you forgetting the last time they made a dark ride that wasn't character based: Superstar Limo... the creepiest dark ride in Disney Park history.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Have you guys seen this video:

In it one of the parade workers says that the parade was supposed to be at WDW for 10 weeks, then he'd have to cut it all up and ship it back to DL. What the heck happened to that? I really wish we could have it here again, in either park.
    Trips coming up:

    May 22-26th
    July 13th-18th
    November 19th-25th

To make the Kiddies happy? I am not a 'Kiddie' and I love attractions with my favorite characters in them. I love original attractions too, but I also go to the parks to see my favorite animated characters brought to life.

Re: Disney California Adventure Project Tracker XI

It's easier to greenlight a ride based on a tried and tested franchise than it is to take a risk and create an entirely new story and set of characters. No, it's not as inventive or imaginative as some of the earlier work. But there's such a huge risk in creating a massive flop that I imagine it's impossible to push a truly original idea through. It seems we get that kind of creativity through the shops and atmospheres of the park expansions.

And on the topic of drugs at Disneyland...honestly I'd rather have happy people (even if artificially) at a big wonderland event than crabby ones. You wonder why raves are popular? Because everyone is happy...otherwise everyone would be sick of each other.

I don't care how much you like electronic music...electronic music for 6 hours alone will get under your skin.
