It's two variations of the same song. The most noticeable difference is the way the song starts. On the first video, it's the version with the mellow intro. The second video (starting at 3:52) is the version with the more epic and grand intro. I personally prefer the second version here as it's a bit more exciting.

The ride features two separate audio tracks which each feature different parts of the William Tell Overture. I believe that it alternates between the two versions each cycle. The first video plays the first few seconds of the movement "The Storm" before moving into the end portion of "The Finale". The second plays most of, if not the full "Finale" movement. So, both end with the final portion of "The Finale", but the first one starts in another movement before being slyly moved into the other with editing.

For interest's sake, "The Ranz des Vaches" which you might know as the song cartoons play during sunrise is also part of this composition. All three pieces are used in different ways in modern culture showing just how good the composition is.

Its the same ride length. Just two different versions of the song. I believe they alternate each time. Like a very simple version of how the IJTFI rooms change (well technically just the doors moving and different lighting and other effects) but only in music. Still the Same attraction.

It just alternates between the two. If you stand there to take photos or whatever and see a few ride-throughs, you'll notice that it always just switches back and forth. (I know, I have too much time on my hands if I'm noticing things like that. ) One version is just the finale from the William Tell Overture that everyone knows so well. The other starts with an excerpt from another movement of the overture, "The Storm." (That was featured in "The Band Concert" during the storm scene, appropriately enough. ) Then it goes back into the same old rendition of the finale. [EDIT: As expected, I see I've been beaten to the punch, haha...]

As for why they chose to do two versions...not sure. Break up the monotony, most likely.

Undoubtedly to stop the Cast Members operating the attraction from going crazy along with those in line.

If Disney cared about ride audio and cast members' sanity, they wouldn't have made that new Jumpin' Jellyfish spiel audio.

The Zephyr audio isn't much better.

The JJ one is pretty bad but I actually enjoy the new Zephyr one. Kinda vaudville with the fun 20s terms. and for SSS I prefer the one with the storm
