Question Indiana Jones Ride Closure Rumor?

So, yesterday on Facebook one of my friends apparently heard a rumor from people that the Indiana Jones Ride may be closing because it was under contract and the contract is ending soon? :\

I really don't believe it, mainly because I don't WANT to. But has anyone been to the park recently and heard anything about it? Help here?

If so then why is Star Tours getting a refurb?

I don't really think it's true, but there's no harm in double checking with the micechaters.

You don't have to. The Disney Corporation wouldn't spend huge bucks on an E-Ticket attraction that had a preordained shelf life of only 16 years.

This is 100% false. Trust me.

I'll go check on the ocean...yep, there's still water there. That must mean Indy is staying.

What does Star Tours under construction have to do with Indy? And what Contract? It was designed by Imagineering and they supervised the entire construction. Since it is a very popular ride with usually long lines, I don't see any reason to close it. Besides they just added stuff to it. No way they will close it and there is no contract at all. Its a Disneyland Owned and Operated by Disney.

Like any franchise attraction, there are contracts between the park operators and the franchise owners regarding likenesses and trademarks in the parks. Fortunately, most of these contracts have very long lifespans and due to their generally beneficial nature to both parties, get renewed easily. But rest assured, there is always a contract.

But, like others have said, the Disney-Lucasfilm contracts are very secure. Indy isn't going anywhere for a long time!
