Question Would anyone miss Downtown Disney?

If you took the foorprint of Downtown Disney, and enveloped that area in to the parks to create a new land, or a new hotel and water park, would anyone care?

Unless it was to enlarge the parks themselves, then yes, I would miss Downtown Disney. I appreciate having other sit down restaurants to choose from with better quality food, and the option to have wine or a drink somewhere. It's also nice to have a few other shopping options, other than the mostly generic merchandise from the parks. Also, if spending a couple of days at the resort, it's nice to take a break and go to a movie. Another overpriced hotel, no thanks!

Maybe if they had better stores/restaurants.

    The food there blows.

I'd take just a parking lot or something over another land/water park/hotel.

It really doesn't matter what anyone thinks, this idea is beyond ridiculous.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

There's really not all that much space and it's inconvenient to either park. You have two big spaces on either side of Disneyland Dr., only the eastern side would be possible for expansion. But you have the trams going through there, you have the GC to deal with and like I said, it's not a convenient location to expand from either park. It's a dead end in that respect. So, no.

I may be an APer but I still enjoy downtown disney. Sometimes it's just nice to walk around with free live music. Heck sometimes friends and myself hit up the uva bar after an Angels game and catch a film. It's a nice place to just sit and enjoy an atmosphere that is different from the parks.

There doesn't need to be anymore clustermuck than there already is. If you are going to get rid of Downtown Disney and put in a hotel or a water park, personally I would think that would make it more jammed together than it needs to be. I like Downtown Disney for what it is, it's just the shops/dining/live entertainment (with the exception of HOB/AMC) sucks.

I would not miss it. I rarely if ever go to downtown Disney, just doesn't offer me anything.

I like to go there the night before my first day in the parks, because after a day of travelling it isn't worth it to pay for a whole extra day just to go for a few hours. So, yes.

I'd actually miss it, yes. That's because I like some of the restaurants and shops, and I love the nighttime vibe of the live music and activity. It's a fun place.
