If you go early get ready for a pre-opening lineup too. Before the gates open. i am not sure wha their policy is on overnight waiting but I am sure if it is aloud there will be one.

    Not a chance.

That was for the small POTC additions. Only the AP crowd showed up that day, and even then we had already seen what it looked like because it was soft opened the weekend prior. We are talking about two whole new attractions.

Not to mention most of the west coast Star Wars fan-base is eyeballing the new Star Tours attraction and will show up in droves. It will be a nightmare for both parks.

That was not only the AP crowd there that day. There were plenty of tourists and families who were not AP holders in that line and in the parks.

and even then we had already seen what it looked like because it was soft opened the weekend prior.
I would expect a number of soft openings for these... not just a few one weekend previous. As you say, these are two whole new attractions. They are going to want some operational experience and real world testing under the belt before the big day. Expect much more serious soft openings. This should help in a significant way with the AP crowd.

Don't think Disney doesn't know this and doesn't have a plan.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Isn't that what the various CM, Disney Employee, Imagineer Previews are for? It seems of late that AP previews are only something they do if they can fit them in before opening day, to do like you said, cut down on the crowds. But at this point that is still depending on IF there is even going to even be an AP preview.

No doubt in my mind that Disney will have some plan. I am saying that no matter what crazy plan Disney comes up with, there will still be insanely massive crowds and ridiculous lines.
