TL entrance rocks still not gone?

Remember all the ruckus about the Tomorrowland entrance rocks finally were to have been removed in September? Why were they never taken away, and when is it going to happen? They're so awful...they gotta go...now!

Re: TL entrance rocks still not gone?

Perhaps they are waiting to see what final plans they muster up for that area of Tomorrowland. With "chatter" going on with Astro Orbitor, Peoplemover track, Star Tours II, new Monorails, replacement for HISTA .... maybe they'll wait until they come up with a master plan .. and take the rocks out once all these other projects get going.

I just wonder if they'll let all of 2006 go by .... wait until the reopening of the subs ........ and THEN take on those other areas. Just a guess.

I've been wondering this same thing, I was so excited to see them gone.

I think they were moved back to January. Best to do it after all the crowds.

I reallyr hope they do not remove the rocks before the Astro Orbitor. They frame the Orbitor so well. Just think how out of place the Orbitor will look without the rocks as a visual barrier.

Yes but it would open up so much needed space. Plus the rock theme was never really carried out in the rest of TL.

Does any one know if they plan on removing anymore trees from the hub area? They Block of a ton of what would be great Fireworks viewing areas, especially the Huge one to the left of the castle.

i actually think it makes the entrance of TL and Astro Orbitor nice looking. Without thme it would be so boring. I haven't heard anything and I don't work far away

They should sell tickets to drive the bulldozer over those obstructions.

Re: TL entrance rocks still not gone?

Maybe if the rock concept was a bit more spread in TL, I would find the entrance less ugly.

Maybe the Astro Orbitor will look so out of place, Disney will just have to move it back, ker-plunk on top of the Observatron where it belongs, greeted by my applause!

And by the way, isn't "visual barrier" an oxymoron?

Nope, it's fine.

I think the rocks look ok by the astro orbiter but they do take up alot of room.
