Red Face Is the Matterhorn still getting it's new bobsleds?

I might have missed an article or thread about it but I haven't heard much lately about the Matterhorn getting its new bobsleds installed. Is it still gonna happen? Or did it already happen? Or..? Any info would be lovely

I believe it needs a few tweaks. But I think it was confirmed that during Matterhorn's next big refurbishment they will install the new trains. That should be in Fall or Winter of this year.

I havent heard much since they were testing the new Sleds...there's def some changes coming soon, cuz they were supposed to change them back in 2009 or '10 if I remember correctly, but they kept having to go back to the drawing board.

sooo that means get to the park and spoon that special someone on the ride before we get lap bars and individual seats lol...the new vehicles look pretty sharp tho! Matterhorn needs a lengthy Refurb and some careful TLC...maybe Disco Yeti will retire during all of it and we'll get a more animated one, then they can throw Harold in a box and let him rest after 35 years lol

Yes...though I'm sure it wont be til the beginning of next year (seeing how Winter time is busy) and two that's when the Matterhorn usually goes down for a few months.

I don't like the new sleds either. I wish they would just leave it the traditional way. But it would be cool if they just updated Yeti

Is it the look of the new sleds cause....I don't get why making the line move faster is not cool?

I love the looks of them and can't wait for them to come, especially if they're as comfy as MK Space Mountain's rockets!

I like em, the Matterhorn is just too jarring of a ride. Anything that eases the wear and tear on my back and knees is a good thing.

I'm with you on this. The seats now cause me to fly all over the place hitting my back and knees and is not that comfortable. But the new sleds look higher up and won't (hopefully) be as painful since it is made to sit one person not two.

The thought of having someone sit in your lap sounds fun and even romantic, and my girlfriend loves it. But my body acting like the foam padding to the seat is not always fun. I absorb all of the jolts and bangs that she never feels. I usually step out of that car with pains all over my back and sides, of course masking them with a fake smile on my face trying to be the manly boyfriend. Honestly, I could go for the new cars, but let's not tell the girlfriend.

Not to mention, I've never liked the thought that someone, anyone, even the dumb and mindless people out there, can at anytime remove their safety belts during the ride. This needed to be fixed years ago, especially with more thoughtless individuals were never taught to think of the consequences of their own actions.

I never got off the Matterhorn with aches and pains like everybody been saying, Maybe its because I'm skinnier and don't weigh as much...

But I prefer the old sleds rather then the new ones and I would love to have one of the sleds in my home for nostalgia.
