Differences in the DL and WDW Fantasmic shows.

I only watched the first part of the WDW Fantasmic show on Youtube (for the first time), and I liked the idea having 'the Lion King' in place of 'The Jungle Book' near the beginning of the show.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but; what are the other major differences in the two park's shows?

I know that instead of having a Peter Pan segment as we do here on the Colombia, they have a Pocahontas segment on the island. Also, toward the end of the show, before the dragon, they have Jafar turn into a snake, replacing Kaa from our show.

I also believe Hades has more of a presence in their show, but I'm not positive on that.

    Hi..
I've seen the WDW one only once, and the DLR one countless times, so this is what I picked out
The WDW version is 5 minutes longer, and doesn't have access to the Sailing Ship Columbia nor the Mark Twain, so uses a "Steamboat Willie" type boat for the finale. They switched out a few, and added some new scenes, like the lion king, the bubble montage (with Disney classics), they have the Pocahauntus, and several new villains, such as Jafar, Hades, and probably several other scenes that I can't remember.
A huge difference is that in WDW, you sit in a stadium (yes, that means bleachers), with an 'island' devoted to the show
    Hope this helps

That's the biggest difference in my mind. There's such a huge thematic gap between seeing Fantasmic! in a stadium-type theatre and seeing the show magically appear on Tom Sawyer's Island in front of you. When you go into the theatre, you know you're seeing a show. But at Disneyland, the way the show literally appears out of nowhere, on the very spot you were standing in line for Pirates earlier in the day... much more magical and exciting

Personally, I greatly prefer Disneyland's version, but it is nice to sit in actual seats at WDW.

Thanks, all of your comments are very helpful. I've seen DL's Fantasmic more times than I can count, and I so badly want to see WDW's version :]

Re: Differences in the DL and WDW Fantasmic shows.

I've seen WDW's Fantasmic many times and I'm still not a fan. It just isn't that well developed in my mind. They crammed way too many villains into it and the scenes don't flow right. But I will give it credit for having more advanced water and pyro effects.

I'm eager to see what Tokyo will be like... eventually.
