I hope the dummies sitting facing either way in the pic is just so they can strap them in nice and tight.... I like to be able to turn my head and see...

I like the idea of the double seating - even if it is only in the back for now. That would really help the 'bigger-boned' and handicapped people. They should deffinitly go double width the entire way down if possible - No More Straddling! heehee

I don't understand why they don't have the WDW seating configuration, if they can do it in the back why can't they do it throughout the entire log?

If they are doubling up the back seat, most adults wouldn't be able to fit side-by-side. The logs are narrow enough that they need to be single seats to fit adult guests.

And I am assuming that in order to have side by side all the way down, comfortably they may need to expand the track in places if not all the way.
I may be compleatly wrong on this just my best guess on that....

They are only sitting side by side for equal balance so the log can float along. it swill still be in row seating with now a love seat in the back .. now theres an offical name .. please sit in the love seats.

Exactly. The flume is too narrow to have wider logs, and widening it isn't an option.

I wish they'd take the seperation's out also. My youngest won't ride it because of those, he feels "too alone" and I personally can't stand them either.

I don't mind the two in the back seat, that doesn't bother me any but I'd sure like to see the "nose breakers" go!

I love it, I could see a CM calling out, "Two for the love seat? Two?"

Actually, the CB's in Splash would be hillarious, especially if they make some remark about being kicked out or fired and taking their act on the road.

Maybe it was the idea of an Imagineer(sp) who had some fond memories of Haunted Mansion on Grad Night with his/her girl/boyfriend.

And how does that differentiate him from the CM's?

What do you mean? Splash Mountains line is horrible. They need to get as many people through as possible. In my opinion, they need to install dual loading stations to double the capacity.

Just to clarify, the logs aren't being modified, they are brand new logs with a two seater in the very back of the log. The Brer Rabbit design carved into the front of the log is different also, his face is flattened against the log now and doesn't stick out as much.
