It worked fine for me, but that was at about noon central time. I know the order went through though because I spoke with people with special events directly after the order to give them mine and my wife's names.

Cool Re: Disneyland Announces tickets for POTC OST Premiere MAy 7th 2011 at Disneyland

Boy, people can spend $1000 for a ticket in this economy?!
Anyone on that list want to donate to the intern-needs-a-new-car-charity fund?

(The aforementioned charity is not an actual charity and all donations may or may not be tax deductible depending on your state of mind. Please seek professional help for full details.)

I would, but I just spent 2k on tickets to the premiere.

    Just kidding.

I think you're probably right though... They know the economy has to be an issue. The tickets this time are $1000, whereas last time they were $1500. That's a very significant drop. And between the tax write off, the KILLER gift bags, and just how seriously cool the night is, at $1000 a ticket, they'll get them all sold.

You'd be surprised how selfishly rich some people are right now.

Those that attend the premier are donating $1000 minimum to a good charity. Hardly seems selfish to me.

You have to be kidding me. First of all, the money goes to charity. Secondly, even if it didn't, people can spend their own money however they damn well please.

The only downside is that you can't deduct the full $1000 because if you are receiving a benefit in return you can only deduct the actual value of the ticket.

You've got it the reverse. You can write everything but the fair market value for the ticket. They estimate the fair market value at $100, so you can write off $900.

I never said donating to charity was selfish!!!!!! You guys obviously took my post the wrong way and probably didn't read the comment I was replying to. The post said this:

I mean there are people out there right now that selfishly have a lot of money that do not donate and could EASILY AFFORD IT, I work with them.... If somebody chooses to spend $1000 to go to the premiere then I commend them for donating, and not wasting it like some people I know who are "Selfishly Rich"

I wish I was going. I only have enough money to go for my trip to the parks in June and if I had to choose between the two, I'd pick my trip. It does sound like a lot of fun and the money goes to a good cause which is a great bonus.

$100 to go to a movie premiere sounds about right considering you can go to them for free back when Myspace was doing their "Black Curtain" thing and you could just sign up and show up on the day by printing out the Myspace page. 10 times that much? Insanity. I don't even care if it's for charity!
