Waiting for the sun to go down I went for a ride on Mickey's Fun Wheel in a moving gondola when I heard screams of terror nearby. I was the blond girl wearing the white shirt on the right. Hoping to capture the look of terror that would match the screams I raised the camera and zoomed in. But, I was spotted and the girl forgot all about her fear and started a caged rave with her friends. After the ride they all walked away as if nothing had happened. Was it all just drama screaming?
That's a really gorgeous shot of Manny, Chris! Sometimes with these DCA/Disneyland shots, it's all about the placement of the sun that can really make a difference!
And in Memory of Ernie McLean, my photo of the day is of him from 2011. I wish I stood around to get a better shot without that much background but... sometimes you just don't think about it until you get home.
A crowd gathers and I see everyone is pointing their cell phones at the ground. Turns out Kevin was mopping Goofy's face. A totally cool surprise. I've heard about but never had seen it before. I asked if I could take his picture and he said, "Of course, just don't put it on the internet, my Mom doesn't know I work here." Sorry Kevin, your work is too good not to share. But, I didn't leave you totally exposed!
