These are a few of my favorite things - Jingles and Julie - I shot at the Golden Ride Vehicles dedication ceremony during Disneyland's 50th celebration - the interview that followed is among my dearest memories
She's so easy to photograph, her eyes are wonderfully expressive. I must say that of the celebrities I've met along the way - she is one of the very few who more than met my expectations - we had 15 minutes scheduled and I was ready to talk about her role with the company, her new role as the honorary 50th Anniversary Ambassador and when I was wrapping up, I thanked her for the interview and asked her to give her husband - the late Blake Edwards - my best as he made some of my favorite movies - this led to another 20 minutes of "which ones" and "oh, yes me too" and “he’s not as funny as all that” - she is amazing - absolutely luminous – spectacularly poised and yet she gives you glimpses that she’s not exactly practically perfect – that there’s a wicked streak under all that serenity.
yeah you are right with the clouds and all.. i get that same problem at night with my camera, but i was told it's a nikon thing. Do you have a nikon?
As a matter of fact... yes. I have an older (in relative terms) Nikon L5 point and shoot. I've had aspirations of someday getting a "real" camera, but between the money and telling myself even if I had one I'd never learn how to use it the way it should be used, and I'd just keep taking snapshots with an expensive camera.... so I just keep plugging away with my little P&S. For now.
