OH yah. I did buy that one but sold it to my brother. I should ask to borrow it.

The 50mm/f/1.8 is a great lens for dark rides, especially if they're kind of close (like Fantasyland).

Yea but sometimes I feel the fifty is to close for dark rides.

I tend to shoot zoomed in, so the 50 works pretty well for me. Then again, my last visit to the park, I used a 50-200mm zoom, so take that as you will.

my favorite "dark ride" lens tends to be a 35mm 1.8 - cute, little and very quick

Hey, everybody. I've been peeking at this thread for quite some time and now I'm a registered user so I thought I'd pop on and let you all know how amazing your pictures are!
I don't have any (decent) pictures to post myself (yet) but we're planning a Disneyland vacation early next year. I'll see about posting some pics from that trip (if my crummy little P-n-S takes any decent pictures.)
Thanks for all these images, folks, and keep up the great work!

Re: Daily Disneyland Photo Sharing Thread

From what I can tell, ALL cameras can take decent photos. And we'd all love to see them. I've posted many pics that are by no means expert quality. (All I have is a "crummy little P-n-S," and all I've gotten in the way of feedback has been positive.

Of course, I have picked up a lot in the way of technique (just from lurking on this thread, thank you very much!) so maybe my P-n-S can take some decent pictures....
To add, I don't plan on doing any nighttime shooting or shooting in dark rides, so that'll help.
    We'll see!

Its just a matter of preference I guess. My first lens was a 50mm but I always wanted a wider shot.

A p-n-s Camera should be no reason to not shoot some great photos, cant wait to see your photos after your trip.
