Free (and some low cost) hosting services limit how much of the bandwidth they control for each user of their service. Bandwidth as they describe it means data transfer. It is how many megabytes per month get used (transferred from computer to computer). Every time someone here opens this forum, your pictures are automatically displayed from your host through MiceChat to the viewer's computer (data transferred) - which means every one who comes to this thread uses a piece of your metered bandwidth. Too many people viewing this thread and it all gets used up fast.
Analogy: Your account at photobucket is like a big pitcher of water. You are allowed to store only so much water in your pitcher, and they limit how much can be poured from that pitcher each time period. When you post in this thread a hotlink to your water in that pitcher, every time someone comes here they get a free drink from your pitcher. The hotlink is like a straw that gets sipped from every time someone comes here. Too many drinks, your water from the pitcher runs dry for the month. You have to wait for them to refill - which they do monthly.
The solution is to post fewer pictures and hope fewer people see them - or pay for an account that has much, much greater limits.
