You can use any picture you have - this picture was taken with my regular camera and then edited. This just happens to be the same picture you see in my sig below.

My workflow typically goes something like this:
Canon DPP (RAW editor) > Photomatix (If I am doing HDR, which most of my shots are) > Nik Color Efex 4 (Tonal Contrast, Detail Extractor, and Graduated Filters are my favorites) > Topaz Labs (mostly noise reduction and finishing touches such as vignette and boarders) > PS CS5 (for layer masking, sizing, sharpening).
Basically I love me some sliders! =)
