    Angry Balcony seats for Fantasmic!

i am just posting out of frustration!!!

For my parents anniversary, my brother and i are getting them balcony seats for Fantasmic!

after calling 2 days in a row, right at 8 PST, being on hold and finally talking to a cast member at 8:10, they have been sold out, or only have 1 ticket left!!! do people buy these 20 at a time or something... i think theere should be a limit!!! 2 a person or something

anyone who has gotten them before, was it this hard for you, and if so, how long did it take (i only have a day or 2 left to try and get them these tickets... tomorrow im trying for Dec 30 and if i dont get it i will cry!!!)

im gonna go listen to Light Magic... that will make things better!!!

Usually the CMs I've talked to about it say to try to get reservations a month or two in advance for the date you want.

I didn't notice the dates you mentioned. Dec 25-Jan 1st is easily one of the busiest times of the year for the park so it may be very tough to get seats for any day during that time period.

Still, it's the busiest time of the year, with the parks brimming with guests planning to spend lots of money. Good luck, 'cause that's what you'll need.

They are also getting record numbers of people because it's both Christmas and the 50th.

And that means even more people who don't yet know what a rip-off the dessert buffet is.

it's not the same, but you could try for the lower seating area between the A and B light towers. It's no comparison, but at least it's reserved. My favorite is the patio area of the river belle terrace

I think we got ours (for December 26, 2003) by calling in pretty much as soon as we could to reserve them (I think that would or must have been around 90 days prior to December 26).

And I enjoyed the "rip off" of the dessert buffet and fantastic view of a show I like immensely.

    Steam,

I know I am probably alone with this opinion, but I think you can spend over $100 and get them something cooler. I sat in the center seats up their with my ex and it wasn't all that. I kept waiting for the cool part to happen, and it never did. The dessert was on par with sara lee frozen cheesecake, and the CMs couldn't have been more 'over it'

My point is, maybe this is a sign that you should do something else for them. Personally, I would be more entertained by watching someone burn a hundred dollar bill before my eyes, then to sit in that balcony again.

We had Vacation Planning try for balcony for us on Sun 12/11 and Fri 12/16 for the 9 pm show - both times struck out so we got 9 pm Riverfront instead. The CM told me that Balcony seats for the 10:30 show are sometimes easier to get - is that too late for your parents?

They're working on redeveloping the desserts, sorry if they suck. -_-

    Re: Balcony seats for Fantasmic!

I have got in to this (as well as the highly coveted Cinderella Breakfast at WDW) by doing something very easy:

Getting the Cast Member on the phone to RUSH.

If you speak with a polite urgency they seem to type faster and YOU GET IN!!!

    Here is my advice:
    Here is my recommendation:
Dial the number about 2 minutes before 8am. When you hear the recorded message saying they are still closed hang up and hit redial. Do this again and again until it rings when they answer just say (ex.) "Fantasmic Balcony Seating, 9pm, October 16 for 2 adults" Then wait with your credit card and read it fast (but clearly) when prompted.

The whole process took less than 5 minutes.

I hope this works for you. It really is fun and sound like a great gift.

    Best of luck!

You can now book 60 days out for DL and 120 days out for WDW, you are cutting it pretty close, but good luck!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!
